Yea that’s good for you. However to my original point, I rather uninstall if I can’t play Prot. I play WoW for one reason and one reason only. To own it up with a Shield.
Yea for Prot Shockwave is more about the damage. I’ve topped out at 90k+ in Arena with Shockwave. It changes matches when you get everyone in it. Then Shield Charge the kill target. GG.
I understand
Im almost the same way just with warrior in general. Ive mained a warrior since day one and if they are ever in an overall “unplayable” spot my time in game is massively shorthanded.
Yeah, see thats where i cant wait for shockwave in arms. Lets pop avatar, drop a spear on them, then shockwave and bladestorm, keeping them stuck in spear+crit dmg while throwing out buffed mortal strikes in my spin of death. Bejeebus that 3-4seconds of damage is backbreaking. Shouldnt have more than an execute or two of damage left (with unhinged even proccing fatality, the chain is great for aoe AND single target.)
Really hope they remove spear. It’s an ability I hate and feel is toxic to the game. Feels anti-warrior. Honestly want everything from SL to go away lets forget those dark times.
I rather they move forward in Warrior design remove Spear and bring back an Iconic ability or create a new one in it’s place. I think Bladestorm should be on the class tree in spears place. Or something fun and new.
I have what I like to play if I can’t play it another game it is
I just use what makes sense. I much prefer Thunderous Roar in the builds it makes sense for, but when running a super crit heavy burst build spear does the trick.
As stated before, ive been playing WoW, and warrior, since day one. I dont have heavy feelings one way or the other about Shadowlands. It had its good and its bad. Overall it was fine. I would have much preferred keeping Banner over Spear, and even further, i enjoyed Ancient Aftershock over spear as well. But again, i dont make the game, just enjoy it.
I dont mind them keeping spear, but i woild have liked them to change the animation to an actual massive, iron-wrought spear, that causes physical damage and replaces the magical dot with a bleed and the “tether” to an explosion-induced daze. Make it much more warrior-like in its aesthetic.
Still, i think banner was the obvious choice for carryover, not just for class fantasy but also for solving the warriors lack of group utility to make them more appealing in high-level end game content.
