What's more likely? Classic+ or TBC?

As much as I want Classic+, I think it’s a dead cause. What do you guys think? I’m a new player who started with WoW Classic and never played back in the day and I don’t really like how everyone’s constantly so ahead. I feel like new content that no one’s experienced before would make people like me feel left out, but I think too many people liked TBC and WotLK for Blizzard to consider Classic+. Thoughts?

Think about the risk reward ratio of Classic+ versus TBC.

Any thoughts of Classic+ by anyone with any sort of decision making power in Blizzard are likely fleeting and not serious at all given the immediate alternative available. ie TBC

Boring. Tbc duh.

If the botting continues, probably neither.

classic+ was DoA,
TBC requires very little effort, so of course it is what Blizz will do

Classic + isn’t a thing, why are we even talking about this?

Because some people think it can be churned out like a pay to win app on your phone. TBC is already in the can and ready to go as a sub generating cash cow. Classic + was merely a fantasy provided by dumb people or trolls.

Both would be nice but with the recent changes to instance lockouts, TBC is going to be unplayable, since spamming dungeons at endgame is a gameplay feature to get keyed for raids, while Classic+ would require development manpower from a company that refuses to hire basic support staff to ban bots.

Classic+ is a near zero chance. Silly thread.

People want classic + so it can be like runescape but what they’re missing is that the runescape devs actually cared about the game while activision mostly cares about cashing in on your nostalgia.

There’s literally 0 chance they will put in any effort to make new content instead of releasing TBC which is a guaranteed cash cow for minimal effort.

Anyway TBC wasn’t where the game went bad. Nearly everyone who likes classic liked TBC also (including me), and most generally like WOTLK. It went bad in cata and beyond, though it started around the middle-end of WOTLK. What a strange coincidence that’s the same time Activision took over and they ran out of previously developed Blizzard content!!

Classic+ was never an option

Indeed!

there was never a point at which Blizzard was honestly saying they would do Classic+, because they already knew their next step if they were to continue down the classic “road”.
Release TBC obviously, the cost is extremely low to them, and nostalgia of players is very high.
and as we know, there’s only 1 thing Blactivision cares about

cost.

They already have TBC, theres just no need to release it because people who want to play tbc can just play retail.

Classic+ requires them to actually do something, and based on recent patch notes, I don’t think they have it in them.

TBC

The current WoW team would just **** up so called Classic +.

Don’t worry, they’ll screw up TBC Too.

to be fair it is technically classic+ right now. we are way beyond no changes.

Are you joking? Retail TBC is absolutely nothing like release TBC. No talents, no balance, no difficulty, no anything. People like the gameplay of classic/TBC, not just randomly being in hellfire peninsula with a gutted trash game system.

I would be more inclined to call it Classic-

If they do anything it will be tBC, because it is a known quality.

What is Classic+? It means something different to different people. That’s why it will be tBC if anything.
