Looking for a main and I’m torn. I enjoy this warlock, but hunter is calling to me.
In my opinion, Hunter. But I don’t like Warlock much. Never have.
I’ve played mainly Demonology Warlock since Legion and I always enjoyed them, fun to spam a bunch of minions. Hunters though I do enjoy the idea of ‘sniping’ as Marksmanship and optionally having a pet. Or Beast Mastery Hunter for a different reason to send your ‘hounds’ to tackle basically ANY problem that no other class could be able to pull off.
Personally, just try each of them out, doesn’t hurt to have both.
I haven’t really enjoyed Hunter ever since they made Survival melee, and Demonology Warlock is really fun
On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever been as proud of a transmog as what my Hunter has…
Tough choice, but personally I found the zone themes really hunter friendly, especially in the plains and the azure span. idk it checks all the boxes for hunter fantasy especially when you add skinning, leather working, cooking and fishing into the mix. Get those wilderness vibes, if you know what I mean.
I was rolling survival spec originally, but one look at those Rockfangs (sabertooths) and I knew I wanted them all, so switched to BM. Even have the glyph of dire stables with nothing but rockfangs of different color so every time a dire beast comes out its one of them. I can potentially have 4-5 of them running around me at the end of combat.
Hunter with themed pets.
I play both and find hunter to be more enjoyable. They’re vastly more mobile. Warlocks have issues with ground effects, especially in dungeons. Their only instants, save for procs, are their curses. Everything else has a cast time and you’ll find yourself barely able to get one spell off before having to move, potentially cancelling your current spell. Plus, hunters get to choose their pets!
hunter will always be more fun in some capacity but warlock is a hero class so they will always be a top pick in just about everything
Tbh neither. I been a hunter since late vanilla and I finally dropped him.
I like hunter. Hunter you can be bad AND drunk, and still be kinda ok.
I enjoy the movement/freedom that hunter brings
Hunter is a starter class, so super easy. Collecting cool pets also fun.
Warlock has a ton of class fantasy, much more going on than a Hunter, I love it, fun to play.
I play both, but everyone should have a hunter anyway.
I’ve mained a BM Hunter for most of my time in WoW. I kept trying the Warlock but was never able to get him above 34. I just started a brand new Loc for a fresh start less than a week ago and I am already above 43. I am having a blast with it. I went Demonology but swap to Destruction when I feel the need to set things on fire. Even at lvl 43 seeing my hoard of minions fills me with a warm glow. I also xmog’ed my toon to look like someone sucked into Azaroth from Earth, given Warlock powers, and is now an undercover badass. Alberet - Character (worldofwarcraft.com)
Hunter >>>> Warlock
I always have a Hunter at max level but the last time I tried to main one, it didn’t last long
BM hunter can damage on the move, with amount of swirling pools spawning directly under you - casting might get frustrating
I dunno, might come down to personal taste? Which flavor you like better?
At a really simplified level the two share similarities: ranged DPS with a combat pet. That’s a MASSIVE oversimplification of course. There are subtleties that make one different from another.
It may come down to which flavor and play style feels better to you. The only way to find out which is to play both until you find which one hits the sweet spot.
I want to enjoy playing hunter because they get to choose their pet. Id rather run around with a fox than a demon.
But its just not fun at all.
Warlock just feels really good to play. All of their specs are awesome.
Warlock are way more fun than hunters are.
Hunter. We have dogs. Real dogs, not those felhound doggos.
Bumpity bump
