Just out of curiosity, what are some items that you keep in each of your characters’ inventories?
For example, all of my characters have: Cloak of Coordination, Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide, Battle Standard of Coordination, Signet of the Kirin Tor, Mesmerizing Fruit Hat, and Goblin Glider Kits.
I try to keep the layout of my items the same across all characters so I know where to look. (and I’m a neat freak)
So what do you guys keep in your bags? What are some tips and tricks for keeping your bags organized across many characters?

I assign my bags the same on all my characters. Leftmost bag is gear, next one is consumables, next one is trade goods, and the last one and backpack are free for all. I keep my hearthstones and whistle in the backpack.

Food, archaeology tokens, hearthstones, bandages, the occasional enchanting or tailor supplies that I haven’t dumped into my bank yet
Well let’s see here… I’ll be damned, thought I left that in San Francisco.
Seriously though, let me think. Leftmost bag is the “permanent” stuff, hearthstones and the like, as well as a few consumables and novelties that don’t go in the toybox.
Another bag, not necessarily the next (I have a LOT of alts), will be for tradeskill materials. Priority goes to mats for the tradeskills the character actually uses, but odds and ends from other ones will tend to pile up there, too. Never know what might be useful down the line- I still remember needing bits of leather for Vanilla tailoring.
Another bag will be for quest items (though those are rare these days, thankfully) and alternate gear sets. Not a big deal for the warlock, but for classes with multiple roles it’s pretty important. This may also overlap with “Maybe Gear”, items I’ve gotten that I might want to use, but not right this second, such as a very good offhand when I don’t have a decent main hand yet.
Rightmost (original) bag and the one to it’s left I try to keep as empty as possible for loot accumulation while I play. The bottom of that second bag is where I pile up drops to shard or scrap, as well. It’s a pretty good system, provided I remember to “de-loot” and sell my vendor trash from time to time.

Junk I’m never gonna use, but might be useful later.
Heathstones, junk and meat to feed my pets.
Here is my inventory, kinda a mess though
I always try to keep key items like Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife, Net-o-Matic 5000’s, Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guides, ect on as many toons as possible as listed in the very top of my inventory.
Glad to have the hearthstone toys so I can delete my regular hearthstone but I keep my other ones for quick travel.
I’ll usually try keep my backpack and second bag (if I have space) empty for looting, unique stuff (Crusader Skulls from the DK starter zone, Haunter Memento) in the last bag, and everything else is a complete mess.
I usually have at least three empty bag spots, I really don’t know what in my bags most of the time, but I do have the important things! Just one second let look through my bag and I’ll tell you what I got!
Alcohol… lots and lots of alcohol that i definitely did not steal from unsuspecting passerbies.
oh and some half-eaten rats, gotta get that protein

I assign all the bags.
Topmost - Ignore bag
Contains my hearthstones/teleport cloak, profession tools based on individual toon’s professions (fishing rod, mining pick, skinning knife), pvp dismount thingy, quest items
Equipment bag -
As name suggests…for all armor loot to go into and gets cleared out or disenchanted/scrapped as I get around to it.
Consumables -
As name suggests. Typically keep several stacks of raid food, pots, flasks, feasts (if have any), extra enchants specific to character (ring, weapon, gloves), extra gems, tomes for talent changes, runes, fishing bobbers, and health/mana food.
Trade Goods bag -
As suggested in name. Bag for all my profession crap specific to which toon. Get cleared out as needed typically to bank, guild bank, or AH.
Last bag/basic bag -
Trash item bag pretty much. Anything that can only be vendored or will be vendored.
I keep lots of nostalgic things on Fair:
My Argent Dawn commission.
Signet of Expertise (reputation trinket from the Mithril Order from Wrath leveling)
Symbol of Life: the paladin quest in old eelwynn where you learn your resurrection spell. It’s attuned to my wife’s paladin.
Old symbols of kings
The old quest book: “The Light and how to swing it”
I’d have to look at what else, but I try and save a couple things from each expansion for memorabilia of his eternal quest for righteousness and understanding of the Light.
Edit for phone typos.
one bag is loads of stacks of Noggenfogger because that is the greatest thing ever int he game fight me IRL. Then a bag full of snowballs to fuel my snowman disguise. one for random engineering stuff and hearthstones and whatnot. a bag for all my crafting bits. and the last bag is always full of grey items cuz i can NEVER remember to offload them at a vendor because i am a trash human being.

Ark Inventory! It has a learning curve but its super customization once you get it down!
Before this I use to use Bagnon and manually move things around my bag but this has made my life so much easier!
