I’ll often take real names and alter them a little in a fantasy style, or mash names and words.
This one is Vixen and Inara. If I could, I’d add an apostrophe: Vix’inara.

Often, the base of a name comes to me as I’m creating the character. I try to avoid special characters if I can. I have deleted many characters just because I realized I really didn’t like the name.
