What's harder? Getting AOTC or 2.5k M+ rating?

Debate, my kings and queens.

EDIT: And why do you think AOTC has a cosmetic prize and 2.5k has nothing?

AOTC is easy, I pug it no problem.

2.5k M+ rating requires groups that can actually down the content, which at that range is a little harder to find.

So probably 2.5k M+.

2.5k is easier if you play well and don’t have a good guild.

Aotc is easier if you have a good guild and don’t play well.

Aotc easier to get carried to. But 2.5k quicker if you are personally good

AOTC is the easiest to get, because you can just pay 50k (somewhere around there) for one carry of one boss once. For the M+ rating, the easiest way to get it still involves like 13-16 runs which are maybe 100k each if you’re buying a carry.

You can also actually play, but if you just want aotc I think it’d take less work to do 100 dragonflying WQs and buy a guaranteed kill.

I don’t think anyone will disagree with AOTC being easier. But that doesn’t really mean much when compared to 2.5k M+ rating.

Both are easy to get. If we’re talking time-wise, AOTC might take a bit longer. But if we’re talking effort wise, M+ is arguably the more effort-requiring mode.

Depends heavily on the time of the season. And how competent people are.

Aotc for a mythic raid will be obtained the same day the raid is released.

Mythic+ can be pushed to extreme leves with peak last season Ilvl but getting 2500 from one week is kinda ridiculous if you’re able to pull it off.

I’d say aotc is much easier

Non-fated joke seasons, 2.5k is easier.

Depends on the tier.

2.5k was easier in S3, They were about the same in S1/2.

Well aotc is 1 boss

M+2500 is 16 dungeons minimum
(Realistically a lot more)

Volume alone puts m+ slightly more difficult.

Skill level wise. About the same. I still put m+ slightly harder.

Personally I normally get aotc and a few mythic kills before I get 2500

True enough, but what if OP was talking about the full clear heroic achievement (since when people ask for aotc, they usually mean 9/9 heroic)?

AOTC is harder. It requires that you coordinate with 9 other competent players. M+ just requires the grind.

Neither is hard if you go in to them with maxed gear and fotm op class/talent spec.

True, getting 2500 isn’t hard, but AOTC is also super easy. Not sure which I’d call harder, but I’m leaning toward 2500.

2500 is harder.

Seen Casual guildee’s that struggle to do more DPS than the tanks buy AotC and be done with that in an hour.

At the level of key that’s required for 2500 it starts to get difficult to carry a single person.

As for earning it, I think it’s harder to learn all 8 dungeons well enough to get 2500 than it is to learn the raid.

Take off the gear and both can be challenging. To many players fail to understand the impact that gear has on the difficulty of the game.

And why would you try to create your own difficulty instead of doing difficult content?

Stupid question.

Its all arbitrarily relative.

Yes, if you don’t equip any gear, even normal dungeons will be hard.

What’s the point?

The point is you’re being unnecessarily elitist about you subjective opinion on what content should be considered “difficult”.

This is such an obvious troll I feel bad for anyone who actually falls for it, as I have for those who have gotten baited by your forum threads

Being elitist is using common sense?
