After Phase 6, aka AQ, there will be Phase 7, aka Naxx.

Then, after that, they will presumably announce the end of SoD and close every server except for Wild Growth and Crusader Strike, which will become the ‘SoD Era’ servers.

TBH I think a SoD in the revamped cata world would be kinda cool.

A 1-60 experience on the ground with the charm of vanilla philosophies/mechanics and itemization, but in an entirely different azeroth.

Burning crusade classic+ with blood elf and draenai but we stay on azeroth and level to 70 with new quests throughout the world.

They’ll probably transfer all the SoD characters to Classic+, which will actually be post-Classic Cata server.

Seasonal will become Vanilla “F R E S H” from now on.

Classic Era will become Classic Progression, which will run from Vanilla through Wrath before refreshing; existing characters moved to Classic+.

The above is based on the WoWHead and Dexerto interviews, where the Devs talk about ‘keeping some of the Runes (WoWHead) and Itemization (Dexerto) “where characters can migrate once the season ends”’.

Plus one of the questions a the recent survey, where Classic Era is omitted as one of the reasons I didn’t buy the Classic Cata “Battle Pass”; the other options where Hardcore, Discovery, and Classic Progression (which is what Blizzard currently calls the form of Classic that’s currently in Cata). - “I didn’t buy the Battle Pass to the version of the game I’m playing too much of” doesn’t make any sense.

Lol doubtful with the poor rention and failure that is SoD i would highly doubt they would make a TBC sod
