Whats there lore reason for chosing them? Are they interested in one specific or maybe all?
My initial instinct is that the best fit for who Jon here is, would be Revendreth. However, Bastion represents who he wants to be. So it’s kind of a hard call.
I don’t really understand the question. Are you talking about the next expansion, because most likely none. Because I’m really want to hear some good things about the next expansion after the release before I fork out $60 for this one. Or at the very least not an explosion of hate and refunds. I’ve fallen into this trap to many times to where anticipation through advertising was blown up. Popular Youtube reviewers were given upgraded versions of the game only to get a bottom of the barrel version that would be released to the masses.
But does bastion represent who he was in life?
Asana’s likely going to go Bastion. She actually doesn’t fit in particularly well with any covenant personality wise. None of the four are really her, not entirely at least. Which is fine because she not permanently joining anyone. Her social circle on Azeroth is pretty open minded.
So it falls to her interests instead. Venthyr and necrolords are too dark and gloomy for her tastes and she’s not fond of undead. And neither do the night fae speak to her. She respects them all and is curious, the whole realm intrigues her to no end, but not so much to stick around with them.
For the kyrians, Asana is not a pure, devoted or enlightened person in the slightest. So the ideals are lost on her. But she does find their culture interesting and wants to learn more about their fighting styles. It’s a fun challenge to test herself against with seemingly likable people there. And on both an IC and OOC note, the place is so pretty. I like the style and atmosphere.
Althron is a weird case.
Bastion and Night Fae seems to be the two covenants for good aligned cases, so until we have more info is one of the two, but as we know it so far.
Althron is too attached to himself, to his experiences and adventures, he could never let that go like the Kyriam, he feels that his mistakes were lessons and his joys were good memories.
Joining the Night Fae, he would be able to get pseudo druidic abilities, and i’m not sure how he would react to that yet, for he was expected to become a druid but never had talent for those things, so for many years he just lived a simple life, doing small jobs, dreaming of one day to become a great hero like the ones of the past and traveling the world, but helping fallen Kaldorei spirits and having some sort of connection with nature might be what he needs in the end.
But this is so far, I’ll really have to play through each zone and learn about them to pick what would fit Althron.
I don’t know. Someone help me out: I am completely remorseless for all of the lives I’ve taken, I want to take more lives, I revel in the misery of my victims, and I sleep peacefully at night following copious amounts of alcohol and premarital sex.
Which covenant fits me best?
MALDRAXXXUS
#bodyunclear
I’ve seen some people here going for what the zones and mogs and looks for the covenants are, but I’m trying to be more focused on the story so far presented for each of them.
As Venthyr are about atoning for sins, none my characters would feel a need for atonement, so far I don’t have any to place on this covenant.
My shaman is all about being an outcast and learning to fend off for himself and being strong to survive his harsh upbringing. He does care a lot about defending nature and the stability of the elements, but I feel Maldraxxus is going to be a nice fit for him, since they are all about being strong and defending things.
My Paladin is a gentle kind, I’m placing him with Night Fae. I get that the Bastion theme fits Paladins really well but all this prove-to-others-how-great-I-am wouldn’t be of any interest to him.
For my Priest, however, I would love to have those awesome wings and golden mogs on him so I’ll have to go Kyrian. I still don’t know yet how I am gonna spin that ICly… Maybe he seeks to enhance his control over the void? Idk, so far enhancing battle prowess seems more of a Maldraxxus thing…
Kyrian for Keelath here. He was originally a paladin (or at least, Light-worshipping knight, since it’s not really clear if elves had paladins back before M’uru) who was dead for some years before being raised during the Third War. So I imagine it might be a kind of home-coming for him–that he might have “lived” with them during his afterlife at some point before.
Night Fae for the night elves…ofc.
My shaman might be going Venthyr depending on how they portray them. He has a thing for helping to redeem spirits, which sounds like is the reason the Venthyr exist: as a purgatory for villains. That said, if it’s still a lot of plotting and cruelty and being evil, he might not.
I don’t really have anyone fitting for the Necrolords.
That depends on character of course. My blood elf warlock isn’t going to be making the same choices as my human fire mage, my Night Elf Arcane mage or my Huntresses. I could see my Blood Elf huntress going for Bastion and my Night Elf for Ardenweald.
My hunter will go Ardenwall, my monk bastion, my druid Maldraxxus, and I’ll probably come up with some character to go Revendreth, though it interests me the least.
If anyone wants cool suggestions though, Druid for maldraxxus, DK for Ardenwall, Warlock for bastion and… idk, Holy priest for Revendreth
I’m more sure now that Althron will choose Ardenweald.
As a Wildhammer Gryphon Rider, with a set ideal of honor and duty to his clan and Aerie Peak, Dwolnos will likely go Kyrian.
Plus, Kyrians provide some sweet-looking mail armor and weapon models–especially the hammers.
Diiari, the character that I’m posting on, will probably join Kyrian (If I can level her in time).
Aanka, my druid, will probably join Ardenweald.
I feel like Death Knights will be most appropriate as Necrolord or Venthyr…but if you look at it from a race perspective, I was thinking about Night Fae. Very, very incompatible with Death Knights, but paradoxically most ideal for Tauren.
It’s a hard sell, maybe Blizzard will use a less fluffy/cuddly model for DK animal forms…
I’m leaning Venthyr for Raede, as he feels his entire life past becoming a demon hunter has been a f-up. He is at heart a good person but in a moment of weakness he damned himself to a terrible mistake. His goal would be to atone for himself enough to move on to another covenant, most likely Kyrian, which is where his wife is going (she’s a human paladin.)
despite being a Demon Hunter and being all moody and depressing, Adahlis will be going to Ardenweald. The original idea was to go to Revendreth because she wants to atone for her life as a Demon Hunter. She hates being mostly demon. She adored ehr life as a Night Elf and has always wanted to go back to it so she decided to go to Adrenweald to see the nature and experience being a Kaldorei again even if she has fel blood.
Kaileena will definitely be going to Ardenweald. Not sure about my hunter or priest yet, but my Blood Elf mage week be going to Revendreth.
I’m not going to try choose one, though bu the Say’layn covenant would be interesting to RP out
