What's easier in arena? Ranged or Melee?

Hey guys what do you think is easier in pvp these days?

depends on the class

ranged by nature has a lot of advantages over melee
but a lot of ranged classes have weaknesses that are easily exploitable by melee rn

bm hunter is the least hindered by melee while maintaining all of it’s ranged advantages on top of really high damage, no fear of kicks, and a big kit full of really easy to use tools

after bm hunter though i’d say melee
specifically dh or tanky plate melee

I was gonna say hunter too, just because you get a bigger picture of what’s going on while being ranged and not being kicked.

i think at the absolute entry melee is easier, even for a bm hunter basic tasks like mitigating and connecting damage are based on fundamentals of positioning that a new player might lack and there are a lot of melee specs that are designed to be usable without considering those fundamentals

ret, war, dh are all going to perform for someone that just dismounts with every offensive and defensive cd. they’re designed at pretty much every level of play to be difficult to avoid damage with, which historically means they’re implicitly better at tanking it than specs that can accomplish that avoidance

also depends on the comp

ele as ele/warlock/rdruid is pretty easy to play
ele as ele/arms/rdruid can be difficult to play

same goes for melee playing melee/melee being easy vs melee playing melee/caster

Melee is easier.

Melee def easier, immobile ranged caster and healer generally the hardest.

Mage while high ceiling is relatively easy to play as fire because it has so many tools to move.

BM hunter and necro havoc are the easiest. One’s just a ranged form of the other

I mean my highest achieves are always playing double caster, and I played some turbo in wod :rofl:

I think it also depends a bit on players too. Some people go too ape playing melee and run around corners and others can juke like a god lol…
