…don’t like the class fantasy of?
I’ve really been enjoying Ret a lot lately, and might even try out Holy paladin a bit. It’s an unexpected class for me to get into, as the whole light zealot thing isn’t my preferred class fantasy. I would like a void focused class (not just one spec) if anything. But paladin has really satisfying sound design and visuals, that just makes the fun even more fun.
Demo lock. It’s super fun, but it’s hard for me to get into the idea of like, passively summoning minions to do damage for me. I’ve never really been into pet classes because my power fantasy is kind of tied up in the character themselves being powerful- like how mages are living cannons or Shadow Priests channel madness and Void.
But then I tried out Demo in Shadowlands and I was hooked.
I’ve been leveling this toon as demo, I thought they were pretty obnoxious when they had all the imps with them, I could hardly find the player! But it’s a lot more fun than I thought it would be, my favorite warlock spec now. My only gripe is I wish I didn’t have to use felguard since that’s what gets special spell commands and buffed in our talent tree. I want my felhound to be partner in crime!
Yeah, Demo is just fun. Demonic Core procs are satisfying, Implosion is great, and I really like how little you have to change your rotation for cleave and AoE.
Ahh, I love my Felguard. Don’t get me wrong, Felhounds are great, but I like my giant axe demon. My dreadstalkers are my goodest bois. 
It would be cool but OP if we could have two active main demons at once.
Druid - too many leaves, DoT healing is like Chinese to me
Monk - everything is green Blegh
Priest - love shadow , healing is bland and too holy ooogah boogah
It always seemed silly to me that you had to choose the felguard. I would much prefer it to be something like Beast Mastery hunters, where you have your felguard and your other demon out. Like, I get it, they added a bunch of abilities around you having your axe guy, but…I like variety.
Beast Mastery hunter, for the same reason. I never really got into the idea of, like…I don’t want to be the person who has that strong pet. I want to be the strong person. If that make sense.
I don’t want to share top billing.
Druids and priests. I keep eyeballing them, play them in 30 minute increments. But can’t get into them.
Only warlock
Rogues.
The concept of being sneaky is just alien to me. I prefer melee, but more of an in your face type. And I associate them with toxic lowbie gankers coming from my PvP server days in HFP, STV, and Ashenvale.
Feral for similar reasons. Which is another reason why I hated Suramar sneaking around. Jumping in pots etc.
If they made Demonic Strength usable by any active demon instead of just Felguard and made all the Felguard buffs just buffs to your active demon, I would not have a single complaint. I like having an interrupt that’s just an interrupt, like sure my Felguard can stun things and that causes any casts to be interrupted, but if I can’t stun that enemy, I can’t interrupt it with my Felguard.
Yep, exactly. That’s the main reason that the only hunter spec I like is Marksmanship. The only time I’ve ever played a hunter was a MM vulpera because the idea of a desert guerilla sniper was… awesome to me.
Oh. I hate playing Elves and I hate the class fantasy of Elves.
The only thing I hate class fantasy wise is not being able to play Undead. Every other race feels like crap to me. Else wise I’ve enjoyed most of the classes style and fantasy wise.
Gameplay wise is a whole different ordeal.
I have a druid because I have one of every tank class, but I don’t like the class fantasy at all. Totally feel you there.
I think Demo Warlock and Shadow Priest. I have already shelved my lock and will be doing the same to my priest soon. I’m going to give up on the veteran gear from the Emerald Dream and just go with the Dreamsurge gear and get them both done. I just have too many alts all working for the Emerald stuff right now. I am just getting the basic stuff done on all alts and ignoring the rest just to get everyone done with the weekly stuff. It just saps the fun sometimes.
Warrior. I actually kinda like prot and arms but they just feel too mundane for me to want to play them.
Ironically I love the class fantasy of druids, especially feral, but I hate playing it because I’m really bad at it. 
I’m admittedly only good at healing on this one (I can’t dps worth a darned on her). Probably why I haven’t bothered leveling her yet.
For me, probably Death Knight. For the most part I do enjoy playing Unholy or Frost… but the fantasy of the class is just kind of… eh… for me. Just feels like I’m playing a wannabe Necromancer who flunked out of Necromancy school.
Other than DKs, I generally have the opposite problem - I really like the fantasy of the classes, but there’s a lot of them that I just don’t enjoy the playstyle.
It’s Paladin for me too. Only prot but I love that spec. So fun to play but I’ve always disliked Paladin lore and the whole Holiness part of it. Cheesy as all get out.
