How does transmog impact you, or the integrity of the game?
How does dual spec impact you, or the integrity of the game?
How does barber shop impact you, or the integrity of the game?
How does Group Finder impact you, or the integrity of the game?
Technically, none of them impact you. But with every change the soul of the original game whithers a little more. I don’t like the idea of faction conflict being trivialised because it undermines the atmosphere of the game by turning PvP into a meaningless numbers festival.
Let me ask you a question: what is even the point of having a faction system if you can PvP your own race, anyway?
It’s really simple. There is an existing problem and that is faction balance. On 9/10 pvp servers horde dramatically outnumber alliance. This is reflected in the long horde bg queues.
The BG queues are a symptom of the problem. In order to make the symptom go away, Blizzard has made the problem WORSE. Imagine you are rolling on a pvp server. You are looking at that blank char select screen trying to pick your faction. Instead of weighing the impact of long bg queues against being outnumbered in world pvp… you can have all the benefits of faction imbalance with none of the consequences. No one is going to pick alliance anymore, you can have the world pvp faction advantage AND you can have fast bg queues. Only a moron would roll Alliance at this point.
I hope that was clear enough for you. Horde fighting in an instanced battleground has sounded the death knell for Alliance on pvp servers.
How do you read what I clearly explained and come back with a retort as dumb as “lol my Win rate is great”. Am I literally talking to a wall?
I never said anything about my personal win rate.
That said it’s been explained exactly how this negatively effects us. If you’re too illiterate to read what’s been spelled out for you you probably belong on the red team.
There were multiple solutions that would have provided a benefit to both teams. Instead they went with the nuclear solution.
It doesn’t, the ripple effect from this change will. If you care to find out level an Alliance character on a PvP server and you’ll have the answers as to why this is a bad change.
Zero reason to play Alliance now unless players enjoy being the underdog and the challenge of playing on a Horde dominant PvP server.
There is not better solution. If this change is something that makes you consider quitting you should as you take this game way to seriously and likely should go outside and take a walk.
Every single person who thinks it’s a negative effect is 100% assumptive and not based on anything before. If they are they’re not correct in the assessment. Tbc classic has never happened before. These servers are new. The players are new. This change has never been implemented. No one knows.
false. a dozen private servers have come and gone and not a single one of them ever had balanced faction population.
even then, none of these server admins were ever dense enough to just give people MORE reasons to play horde. It was always the goal to motivate people to play alliance instead because NOBODY could think this game would be better in a single-faction state.
Because the Horde that saw the BG times coming and rolled/boosted Alliance because BGs are their favorite activity… Their skill, contributions to the Alliance economy, their participation in Alliance groups and raids will all go away as soon as they return to Horde.
There’s a relatable situation that we can compare to. The current status of retail post Merc Mode. Look at the current issues plaguing Alliance in retail WoW.
Is it any surprise what happened to Alliance in retail when Blizzards solution to issues caused by mass bandwagoning was “solved” by further encouraging mass bandwagoning?
Is it really that far fetched for you to think that people in classic would be driven from the faction riddled with negatives, no positives, to the faction with all positives, no negatives?
forget retail, we have over a decade of private server history to look at. When a new TBC PS comes on the map, one of the FIRST questions the admins answer is what their plan will be to curve horde bias.
The fact blizzard didnt take this into consideration with TBCC is one thing, but doing the most counter-intuitive thing to help fix it is just intolerable.
