Here is my perception of what your wow class might say about who you are as a person. What kind of person chooses to main a mage? What about a Druid?
This is all just for fun, and based purely on my own experiences and intuition. This is only Classic WoW classes at the moment.

Warriors:
A person who chooses a warrior as a main class might be someone who is an alpha male or alpha female. You could be a person with a lot of energy and a lot of fire. You enjoy diving headfirst into your problems in life and want to go about things in an assertive, direct way. You aren’t necessarily aggressive, although you can be, you’re more concerned with going at things with bravery and passion. People look to you as a leader, even when you aren’t in a leadership position. You aren’t necessarily cocky, but you can be pretty attractive, and might attract partners who admire your spirit and energy. You really respect people who have the courage to ask for what they want, and your main interests in life are pursuing your goals and starting new adventures.
Warriors are at their lowest when they let the world crush that sense of excitement, and that hope for the future out of them. They lose their fervor and their strength which truly makes them, them.
(If this doesn’t resonate with you, and you DO main a warrior, perhaps it’s the type of person you deeply desire to become, rather than who you are now. Energized, powerful, and courageous. Perhaps you chose warrior as your main because you wish to come closer and closer to being the person you’ve always wanted to be, and thus you were drawn to embodying it in a rpg. Perhaps your subconscious is telling you that you do crave adventure, that you want to have passion, and you strive to be a good leader. Perhaps this post is your message to follow in that direction of your dreams) -
Rogue:
A person who chooses a Rogue as a main class might be someone who values intelligence and wit. You can be the type of person who comes up with the best comebacks, either during an argument or later after an argument is over. You may be either be someone who enjoys talking a lot, or you may be someone who is really shy, and you may possess the duality of both. You might identify as someone who’s both introverted and extroverted.
If you’re a chatty rogue, you have a lot you like to say, and can maybe sustain an entire conversation by yourself. When you’re talking about something you’re passionate about, you often capture the attention of everyone who is listening, because nothing you’re saying is “useless banter”. You may be pretty charming and enjoy talking and making new friends.
On the flip side, the shy part of you is in there too though. You may feel more comfortable being a wallflower at a party, or listening to someone, rather than being the center of attention. (Stealth)
Being a rogue, you like to have control over which situation you want to be in. The Rogue class resonated with you because you wanted to play something where you could vanish, if you felt like being unseen. You tend to feel a lot safer, even in real life, when the spotlight isn’t on you. But you don’t might holding the center of attention when you need too. Overall you just like to have the power to decide for yourself in real life (stealthed or unstealthed)
Like I said at first, rogues tend to be very intelligent. They like being crafty and winning arguments through smarts, as opposed to brute strength.
Rogues are at their lowest when they feel like they’re not heard. You are really intelligent, despite what anyone else may say. You like to choose your battles, both in game and in real life. In real life, nothing hurts you more than when you decide to invest in a battle, verbal or otherwise, and you just feel like you’re voice, which you know is valuable, is not heard. -
Warlock:
A person who chooses to main a warlock is not necessarily an evil person, or a hateful person as everyone seems to think. People who are drawn to warlocks have probably seen a lot of darkness in their lives. They’ve experienced a lot of hardship, pain, and maybe even trauma. You were really drawn to this class. To be a character, who instead of being dampened and brought down by the pain in your life, you can be someone who has learned to wield it.
A person who plays a warlock isn’t afraid of darkness, both in their real lives and in game. You feel empowered playing this class, because finally, you are the one in control. You decide your fate, and these things which once brought you down, actually are what have given you a gift to be exactly who you are.
You’re comfortable in the darkness. Something resonates about it.
Warlock players may be the type of people who either like to have power, or the type of person who is craving to take their power back. Perhaps someone exploited you or took advantage of you. And now it’s your turn to decide. In the wake of your own real-life destruction, you always find a way to rise from the ashes, chaos bolts ablazin’ with your friends by your side.
You, more than any other class, know that we need the darkness to see the stars.
Warlocks are at their lowest when they build up trust with someone, over a long period, and then something happens between them where their trust is broken and they feel betrayed. A warlock player’s deepest trust doesn’t come easily, but when it is given, it must be cherished.
(If this doesn’t resonate with you and you main a warlock, perhaps you have pain within you that hasn’t been addressed, maybe it’s not in the forefront yet. But yearning inside you is a deep feeling that you want to persevere. You want to overcome. And you want to rise, take your power, and wield it for benevolence as opposed to pain.)
- Priest
A person who mains a priest in WoW is usually depicted as someone benevolent, who loves to do good, pure of heart, etc etc. Blah blah blah.
While this is partially true, there’s more complexity to priests than that. Priests are classes the wield this balance between shadow and light.
A person who mains a priest is someone who can recognize the darkness within themselves, as well as the light. Light means nothing of darkness doesn’t exist. And vice versa.
They can be the type of people who can give really sound advice, when someone in need is asking.
Priests tend to be mature. They can put on a facade of being young, dumb and playful, however at their core, they’re really intelligent and really kind.
As a priest, may be the type of person who has said or done amazing things for others, out of sheer kindness or conscience. You may find value in doing the right thing, even when no one else is watching, just because you can.
But on the flip side, you have also done things that you know were destructive. You know they would’ve hurt others. Sometimes that bothers you but sometimes you feel like you gave someone what they deserved.
In real life, You might enjoy hurting bullies or causing pain to people who are cruel, toxic, or mean. However, you rarely use your destruction for fun. You prefer to only unleash the darker parts of who you are to people who most deserve it.
You find yourself constantly in a battle between balancing the darker parts of you and the lighter parts of you. The priest class might have really attracted you, because not only do they wield both evil and good, but they do so, always, with the intent of helping their friends, family, and people they love.
I’m leaving out Druid, Pally, Shaman, Hunter, and Mage. For now.
If this post gets popularity I might elaborate on what maiming those classes says about you. It’s just 2am right now and I need some sleep
