So what are some things you think WOW should do but never will? The reason for never doing it may be from lack of insight, lack of resources, poor management, profit over passion, different priorities, better ideas will always pop-up to be addressed instead etc. I would prefer things mentioned to be things that are technically possible but feel free to agree or disagree with an idea, but list some ideas of your own.
Give flying boats and fish mounts increased swim speed.
Earn/fill Warbound XP tokens instead of Automatically earned XP in Warmode.
Ground Mounts generate and extend Rested Status.
Equipped ilvl cap that raises weekly, instead of raid lockouts and conquest cap.
Algari Tokens of Merit(from weekly vault) can be used to purchase an in-game lottery ticket for a chance to win gametime, battle.net balance, or gold and more…
Customize chosen vendors for your mounts or a mount with vendor customization in the Rostrum of Transformation.
A Rostrum of Transformation equivalent for you character’s idle/fighting/walking/running stances, glyphs, alternative skins to spells etc.(e.g. Worgen class remains in Worgen Form in combat, but on all fours. or shoot a fireball with your staff.)
Eat and Drink while standing/walking, Eating/drinking limits you to the RP walk speed.
Make WoW rated M or A or sell a rated M or A mod.
Long high quality cinematics for nearly every quest. Approaching full movies if in a quest chain. (e.g. Wine Shop Advert)
Dryads and Centaurs (or any quadripeds) as a playable race. It could be done, but I don’t think developers have the confidence they would make it work. Too complicated.
I also think there should be a system where older/previous patch items hold relevance in current content (much like vanilla, except more molded for a seasonal model). Could possibly be done with a permanent Dinar system, but I doubt Ion and his crew would allow that…
I also think you should be able to change trinets/gear in M+. I don’t care about competitive mythic+ tournaments, but it would add more fun and variety/uniqueness to the mode in my opinion. But we got tryhards that keep it limited in what kind of strategy we can use in that system, so probably wouldn’t happen.
One thing that would made me really happy is casual PvP overhaul with renown track, better matchmaking, cross-fastion, no premades, etc. For example, Overwatch, I can launch and play a bunch of quick plays and arcades on my own and get a really nice experience. Whereas random BGs in WoW are even sweatier than rated Blitz sometimes, with consumables, well-communicated geared 5 mans, q-sync premades, etc. There isn’t really that “switch off and chill” mode.
