What WoW server "celebs" do you miss?

Not having a celebrity doesn’t really say anything about the community. I remember the name of many characters I met in the open world, saywday after day doing the same content, grouped up with and took it all the way to max level together. I can’t even get players fighting over the same mobs to join a group anymore to share the tags…

The community in goldshire was insanely active on my home server even though it was a 90:10 Horde to Alliance. You saw the same people dueling and talking every single day. I formed groups in goldshire, I joined guilds in goldshire, I met a lot of cool people in goldshire. You had players of ever level bracket in goldshire willing to group and do things.

Now goldshire is just random sharded people youll never get to know before they despawn, no one wants to group and do content, there are almost exclusively either level 15 players or level 120 players that are usually afk, it’s a pretty staggering difference watching how goldshire works today compared to how it worked even in MoP or Cata.

I miss Return on Emerald Dream and his hunter videos. He made zerg pvp look dubious.

Ngarla was the most beautiful troll Aman’Thul has ever been graced with.

Mia Rose, the… specialty… actress and WoW attention fisher on Mal’Ganis Horde. She and the arguments she would start between fans and enemies were absolutely hilarious.

Also Rigby(?) the I PAW UR THIGH troll on Moon Guard. The hero we needed, but didn’t deserve.

Me. I don’t play for others.

Absolutely none.

The last time I had anything to do with anyone who could be considered an in-game celebrity was almost 20 years ago in Asheron’s Call on the Leafcull server when the World GM, Belgarath, asked if he could join my guild - and did.

Since then, no one.

As do I. I also miss old friends on my server, particularly Maze, who quit RP and WOW to focus on college. Maze was fantastically creative, spontaneous and hilarious. This was back when public and walkup was much more popular.

I didn’t know anyone on any server, except for people in my guild I played with.

We still have Rigsby if I am not mistaken I see him around every once in awhile. Does that count?

Had a Tauren druid on bloodhoof back in Wrath named ChuckNourish. Dude was pretty popular on the server at the time.

He is a voice actor now. If you have seen a movie trailer recently or heard one you likely heard his voice. He has a website with all the work he has done, just google his real name if you know it.

Tenj from Twisting Nether doesn’t get enough love.

My own server of Vek’nilash had the Martin Fury scandal, which you can read about here, where basically a guy by the name of Karatechop ended up getting ahold of an item that let him one-shot any enemy in the game.

I never met a server celeb on wow.

But when I used to play EQOA on the Ps2, there was a girl on the Diren Hold server named Xxwinterxx. She was a prominent raider and was very active in the community.

She was always very kind and helpful; even to complete strangers.

I miss her very much and hope she’s playing World of Warcraft now.

Well… there was one on my server that ended up getting not only an in game character based off their character, but they also run the pet shop in Dalaran. That is the only gnome I do not want to eat.

Cool thanks! I do know his name and looked his site up. That’s pretty cool and glad he is doing what he loves to do. still would love to have morning coffee with Ducksauce.

I can’t remember her name but there was a pink haired gnome with pigtails on Lightbringer who used to lay on steps in nothing but goggles.

But when you did catch her out in the world she had on raiding gear so she wasn’t lazy or anything.

I hate that I can’t remember her name. :unamused:

I was one.

Does it still count if they don’t play anymore?

I miss his macro too.
