DF takes the boring cake, for me. The story was probably the worst it’s ever been. Sappy, meandering and answered almost none of the questions it raised.

Say what you want about SL’s story, but it wasn’t boring. Dismissive and disrespectful of the game’s narrative legacy? Sure. Convoluted? Yeah.

But not boring.

DF was like TWW but with worse writing and no delves.

I don’t love Outland

I can’t speak for anything after northrend or before dragonflight.

Dragon flight bored me come to think of it, but that’s a me thing, not a game thing.

Played a few expansions so far:
Season 1 story of The War Within - I like the void part of it but the earthen storyline feels a bit underwhelming. The initial part of it felt cool because like ‘proto-dwarfs’. But they are just awkward.

Other one that kinda dragged was some of the maps of The Burning Crusade - they dragged a bit and had reputation requirements.

Shadowlands was the first expansion that actually got me to quit playing for an extended period of time, so will probably say Shadowlands.

I wouldn’t call any expansion in particular BORING

For reference, I started playing WoW in the BC era

If I had to choose a favorite and least favorite expansion, however, it would probably
BFA being my favorite (Dragonflight was also great though) and
possibly MoP being my least favorite.

I just remember how extremely put-off I was about the “samey” feeling when they released MoP from Cata.

BFA is when I came back to the game after I took a break during Legion to play FFXIV and I really liked the story (which went off the rails in Shadowlands) and the gameplay.
