remake of 7 was announced in 2015, remaster of 8 this E3
Oh yeah, the reason why Leon and Tifa were not in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Two words
Player freakinâ HousingâŚ
These are usually for free to play type games that have a subscription option. Or ones that have a much much larger store.
Are you asking for the WoW Store to increase in size by like 100x? And items ending up on the store more often than in game?
I dislike FF do Iâm glad WOW is not like it.
Totally agree. FFXIV makes the players feel loved and listed too. Their game is great.
While WoW doesnât need all of FFXIVâs systems, something akin to the Duty Roulette system would be very helpful. In fact, WoW already has a similar system in place:
Timewalking
The Timewalking system just needs to be expanded and made permanent, and allowing veteran players to join in with new players (even if itâs mostly alts these days). Add in the appropriate incentives so that players use the system, and things to discourage kicking new players â like the loss of the aforementioned incentives â to encourage some level of cooperation and perhaps even foster a sort of obligation that veteran players should be guiding and teaching newer ones.
This leads into the Mentor system in FFXIV, which is known to have some issues with many mentors not living up to the standards of conduct theyâre clearly told to follow, but is ultimately something intended to help people out. Not sure if WoW would benefit from such a system, but it could be a way to encourage some players to be more than jerks.
Actually I thought a good way to help with the alts thing would be that for every Loremaster bracket you complete, you can start new toons (excluding hero classes) at the top of that Loremaster bracket.
Thatâs three words. Invalid entry.
The reason they have an issue with it is because they always put extremely detailed and great looking mounts in the store while more often than not we get multiple reskins of mounts in game or a recolor of an animal/beast they were making for the expansion anyways and just slapped a saddle on it. Now thats not always the case, but more often than notâŚmounts are reskins or recolors. That dragon they put on the store today should have been the culmination of a badass questline that took time, thought and dedication. Too many cash grabs these days.
You want cash Blizz? Make what you know is a great game and donât take short cuts. Listen to your players the first time when they tell you you pruned too much. Thanks for finally admitting that two expansions later.
Didnât stop Denis Leary from doing it, guess the rules are different with him, eh?
Part of an MMORPG is time investment. 48 hours is nothing.
Not to mention they give you boosts with every expansion now and you can trial characters at max to get a feel for what you want to use it on. Leveling speed is fine as is but if anything it should be slowed down.
Isnât FF the game that charges for extra character slots ?
This sounds just terrible.
I despise duty roullete because it scales you down thus removing almost all your abilities. Especially âheroâ classes like RDM. Getting scaled down to like Sastasha or whatever leaves you with like just Jolt and 1 part of the melee combo.
You could have the most obvious change in the world and blizzard would be ready to do it, but the moment you say that its from or inspired or related to ffxiv this entire community and blizzard will outright reject it wholesale. The WoW community and Blizzard that that spiteful about FFXIV.
But you canât ever say goodbye to WoW Brokeback.
You get 8 character slots. Any more you get charged for. However you can play every single class on 1 character all 17 classes. Itâs not like WoW in the sense that you need a new character if you want to play a different class, in FFXIV you equip a different weapon and you are that class. For example a black mages weapon you are a black mage but if you equip a katana you are a samurai. Though you Samurai class might be level 50 while you Black mage is max level. You can max out ever class on 1 character.
See the trade off?
You actually can pay a lower sub if you just want 1 character per server, and you can play every single class and crafter/gatherer on a single character so you never need to do old zones or story content or reputation dailies again after you do it once. You also get free 25 slot bags for every single type of armor piece you can wear so you can carry 25 sets of gear around without even using your regular bag, which is pretty big.
If you want multiple characters on a server, its the same sub fee as it is for WoW. Only difference is that you can pay less for only 1 character if you want.
You can also just switch servers if you want without having to pay to transfer, you can literally just go to any of the 3 major faction cities and just teleport to another server and stay there as long as you want. You can even log in-out on another server.
Also faction changes in ffxiv cost in-game money and can be done every 15 days, and it only affects pvp and not pve. You can still group up and do pve content with someone from any faction.
FFXIV does all these things for free, things that blizzard makes you pay for. Only monetization thing I dislike is they make you pay for more retainers to store more stuff, but the amount of in-game storage is pretty crazy as it is and they just gave away more for free.
Thatâs not entirely correct. There are two membership tiers. Entry tier (which has cheaper monthly subscription fee but can only be paid 1 month at a time) gives you 1 character per server for a total of 8 characters per account. Standard tier (which has more expensive subscription fee unless you pay 6 months at a time, then itâs the same cost as entry per month) gives you 8 characters per server for a total of 40 characters per account. You cannot buy additional character slot regardless of the tier you choose. Though, I think, you can create another account and have more characters that way.
Well to be fair⌠I didnât read to much into it where I just have 1 character which is all I need
since I was nearing max on all classes back in SB
