Obviously this is for people who are fanatics, like myself, who would pay for CE despite classic being free to subbed players.
The main thing is that I want to be able to buy it locally in stores. The midnight launches at local game stores where people waited in line was really cool, and it’s the one time (besides Blizzconn) where the gamers of a specific game come together. Obviously most people will just order it online, but maybe they can make a small incentive for people picking up in stores, like one extra item in the box that’s trivial, like a kobold or murloc plush.
Outside of that, I already personally have the original vanilla CD and the making of DVD from the original CE (even though I never bought CD), but I do recommend they add them many people don’t have either. The DVD is especially cool and goes over a lot about the making of vanilla; it really is a must see for people who truly love WoW.
A map would be sweet too.

I’m pretty sure there is a market for it so I don’t see why something like this couldn’t be considered.
For the same reason why Best Buy dropped CDs and Steam exists. I switched to digital CEs in Legion after having all the CEs since vanilla. It’s a new, digital world.
Yeah, but we are talking about a game that is trying to go back to the past would it not make sense to market this sort of thing?

I’d like to have the exact same things included that came with the original collectors edition.
Obviously, any pet(s) and other in game item(s) to be limited to WoW Classic (i.e. not account wide).
If the collectors edition didn’t come with a map, one showing the towns and boat/flight paths would be nice (I know there is something like this on the Internet).

Hopefully they make a digital version that includes [Zergling], [Panda Cub] and[Mini Diablo] which were in the original Collectors Edition.

I would like to see actual tangible items not in-game or cross game stuff. I want to be able to go to a store buy a box that’s a collectors item.

That’s what I would like to see as well the box is a big part of it for me.
I actually don’t think I’l like a collectors edition from just the simple fact that the server is most likely going to be static. This is coming from someone who usually buys majority of Blizzard’s Collectors Editions for their art and OST.
Agreed, this would be awesome. Do a limited reproduction of the original collector’s edition, but put “Classic” on it somewhere in fine print so it doesn’t ruin the coolness of the original run.
