What would cause you to ditch your current main character/class for another if they added it?
For me, it would be for DH if they added a glyph to make wings constantly visible and a flight form or ability. Imagine DH dragon riding abilities.

If they add another button to holy I will cry and play something else
If Holy Paladin got a proper AoE Healing kit that didn’t feel like a makeshift Resto Druid I’d probably main it basically forever.
I see Paladins as being an up-front direct damage & healing class.
And a lot of what they do IS that.
But then you look at Holy and their AoE healing for larger group content revolves around spreading short duration buffs around as much of the raid as they can to act as a pseudoHoT when they cast Holy Shock.
And before Glimmer of Light, it was the exact same thing with Eternal Flame - spam 1-resource HoTs around as much of the raid as possible.
I hate so much that that’s the design Blizzard keeps circling back to for Holy Paladin raid healing. It feels bad. I don’t want it. And it keeps me from sticking to the spec as much as I’d otherwise like to.
Nothing. I have too much story and history invested in them.
I sidelined this monk and have been focusing on my warrior this expansion simply because I’ve been having a lot of fun playing him. This monk is still my “main” and I still play him but this expansion my actual main would be my warrior. I just play what’s fun.
Absolutely nothing. Ive mained this character since 2004.
I enjoy other characters (SPriest, Pally, DH), but this hunter is always played first. Every expansion. Every patch.
Warcraft already embodies a lot of the RPG “archetypes” such as archer, wizard/mage, cleric, barbarian/warrior… but they have not done much with the “inquisitive scout” (yes I know the rogue might normally fit into this group but most all they do in WoW is stabby-stabby)
The Scout/Inquisitive is a good fit for the observant and curious, an archetype that excels in detection and deception. Dive deep into mysteries, spot hidden threats, and become a party’s detective.
While rich in investigative prowess, its combat abilities might feel underwhelming - yet without it, the party may be unable to solve a puzzle that opens a hidden door to a vital boss, might wipe falling down a carefully hidden pit, be blown to smithereens by a trip wire only the Scout/Inquisitive can detect (obviously this would require the threats appear in different places at random lest an online guide reveals them all permitting the "go-go hurry mentality to persist).
The true joy in playing this role? Unraveling enigmas and seeing through illusions, offering a nuanced, cerebral gameplay experience. A “mastermind” class, if you will.
I usually solo now as hunter and play a druid healer when I engage in group content.
But if Warcraft ever offered a true Scout/Inquisitive role I’d scurry to try it on for size.
Nadda.
But I do want Forsaken to get substantially more customization options and to fix their issues with transmogs and posture.
You misspelled Worgen.
Nothing. If they added something I didn’t like I’d just ignore it.
If they reverted Frost Mage to how it was back in (i think) Season 2 of SL.
Frost is cool now but it was much more fun for me back then. Shredding the cooldown of IV with every ice lance proc, and shredding the orb cool down with blizzard (which still exists in the frost meta today… but both together was such an addicting and fun synergy).
I’d surely quit one of my mains for this
My DK was my main from the time I started back in cata (once I got it unlocked) until DF.
Then this toon was my main.
Spreist got nerfed, then nerfed again, then nerfed some more , then reworked, then nerfed some more.
Not going to abandon it, but certainly going to play it less.
Now I’m casually playing on a balance druid and demo lock.
The more I think about it the less I think I have a main anymore.
A Void Elf?
Honestly for me it wouldn’t take much. I’m an altoholic so slight boredom or a YouTube video of another class looking cool would be enough…
I’ve swapped races a few times. Never the class though.
Only way ,for me ,is that the character class can’t do anything in the game.I did do it once before with my priest when they changed the spec making it unplayable no matter what I did ,those spiders I use to blast with no problem turn to killing machines.
Hmm. I don’t know if anything could. If they borked prot so much, maybe I would consider switching to ret or holy, but I’ve been with this guy since late Wrath. (was on warlock first, and got fed up with farming soul shards before every situation)
Less button bloat and more impactful Shadow Priest.
Dark Ranger is very tempting, too. Warden would be cool and priestess of the moon. Spell breakers… Anything from WC3 would be good TBH. Something like a Lich… would settle for Frost DK feeling half decent. Something more Scourge based.
I always found satyr stuff quite cool too.
