What would have happened if Hasbro had sued Squaresoft over FInal Fantasy when it first came out?

Final Fantasy uses Enemies from D&D which is owned by Hasbro. It even uses Mind Flayers which are Copyrighted by them!

If Square was sued by Hasbro it would have had to get rid of all the Copyrighted Enemies which may have changed how Secret of Mana would have looked I would think.
