What Would Get Me Into M+ Dungeons

I want to create a huge billboard that shouts that!!!

Real World? Yes, toughen up.

Make-Believe game? Not so much.

Legit fears but from one internet rando to another, you shouldn’t have to toughen up for a game,

But you do, to use the internet to any functional degree.

One bad experience → time to ditch hobby. Won’t get you far…

this looks awesome, but…

the amount of dev time it would take to build something like this is massive. the amount of dev time it would take to fill it in and make it feel alive is far beyond that, unless people are satisfied with a bunch of copy-paste rooms that feel identical (which is going to be tough to avoid with hundreds of rooms to fill!)

which is great, but you have to justify that investment from a business point of view, and that’s tough to do for content that only gets played once. it makes a ton of sense as a standalone game! not so much for this game.

While I really love running keys with friends, some of my fondest WoW memories are of raiding. It’s a lot of fun with a chill group.

Thank you for saying that. I’ve survived some … really awful things that I would never share here … and I’m … not un-tough lol. But when it’s time for recreation, I’m 100% here for low key good vibes where I don’t need to be on my guard or deal with a lot of conflict. If I ever decide to wade into the shark infested waters of M+, you’re definitely the kind of player I’d look up.

LOL this would absolutely happen… Not even joking…

I reserve my toughness for things like matter, like holding down a job, keeping a marriage going strong, and surviving catastrophic medical events. I do not reserve toughness for a damn game.

But arent you here blaming someone? Something else?

This is indirectly blaming people…no?

I’ve puged raids in the past, just few times and the experience was good. A few tense moments, but overall, a good experience.

If I do it this time, it would be with a guild group or people I know. No more pugs.

It’s more about doing what you want to do, rather than letting other people stop you. If you don’t like m+, that’s another thing.

You should play what you like.

For sure. I started pugging raids in s1 BFA and it was rough at times. I did end up pugging into a guild group that wanted to keep bringing me back every week, and that was great. Having a set group that knows one another makes all the difference in any group content in this game.

Use the ignore feature, is the best way to deal with these posters. Starve them out.

Have fun ignoring everyone and leaving yourself with an echo chamber.

I can see that - the internet being brutal is a true statement. But imagine if the person doesn’t want any friction. If they value that above their hobby, then they’re doing what they want to do by ditching the hobby.

I do think being able to withstand criticism is an absolutely helpful and, generally, essential life skill, but that if this game - or any game - is giving you stress during a certain game mode, dropping it is ideal.

Alleged, people want to tank and heal, but the minute someone lobs criticism their way, they complain.
Meanwhile? those same people are fine with playing dps, and receiving scorn just the same for not doing mechanics (has to happen at some point.)

It’s the nonsensical double standard for most people.

Well said. A lot of these people replying here obviously are trying to make up for some real life deficiencies. I’ve seen this behavior in MMOs for decades.

This, maybe people don’t want to stressed out trying to enjoy their hobby.

Nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their own desires and beliefs and can live their lives as they see fit. This is the way.

But, I won’t stand by while anyone campaigns against how I live my life or the things I love to do because they don’t believe in it.

Everyone can stay in their lane, and we’ll all be happier for it.

Its like you are physically unable to have someone disagree with you without insulting them.

I have a NE Balance Druid with iLevel 412 that would be the raider. I’m still filling out the gear with flightstones. Just need a few more to fill out then will consider raiding.

Very very true.

For what it’s worth, I internalize the criticism and look at what I did wrong. I will admit it’s easier to accept criticism from some folks vs others. Like, if you’re pushing higher keys - like you are - I am most likely to listen to your input regarding keys as a matter of your perspective. If you’re someone I’ve only pugged with once, well, it carries less weight.
