What would be the best healer horde side?

I’ve thought about playing a priest a lot. Don’t really want to play Alliance.
I know Resto Sham is alright as well. But I’m not sure what race to go with either. I know people go about Dwarf priest being a big deal due to fear ward.
I just would like to know, what is the strongest or most useful healer horde side?
and if so, what race?
thanks

Isn’t an undead priest the best healer? Shamans have mana inefficiency issues on really long fights.

I was thinking that. I take it druids are kinda out right?

How do you define best PvP pve raiding 5 mans etc. Got any info on what you want to do

anything really. Going to do 5 mans, then raiding.

Shammys chain heal is the bomb, but priest are hands down the best, there’s def. Going to be more priest then shammy and troll is much better for over then undead. But more groups will love a rest shammy and prop easier to get into raiding guilds as one.

I wouldn’t say Undead are any better than Trolls as far as Priest Healing. You talking PvE or PvP? Trolls and Undead racial Priest passives are more offensive focused than Alliance races. Neither of them have anything super important like Fear Ward.

Of course class wise it’s a toss up between Priest, Shaman, and Druid. Resto Shamans are super good at what they do and can AoE heal, plus they have Reincarnate incase the worst happens and they get threat and die. They can pop back into the fight to prevent a wipe.

Priest is going to be your all-around healer that will always be a welcome sight in raids. They can do everything very well, even if they aren’t THE best at any one thing.

Druids only have their half-hour cooldown Battlerez so keep that in mind. They can still be good healers, but people might get an eye twitch in 5 mans if their healer is a Druid instead of a Shaman or Priest. Druids really do rely on one of the other 4 party members just happening to be a DPS Priest or Shaman to help rez.

They all serve important roles.

Shamans are definitely desired for keeping raids alive, as Chain Heal is so powerful. Their totem utility is fantastic.

Druids are good tank healers. Healing Touch is just about all you’ll be using (in raids), but it’s huge because of the 3 second cast time. Innervate and Rebirth are also great utility.

Priest is always good. You’ll always be desired in any content, and you’ll always have good tools, and a variety of spells to cast.

I think Priests are the most versatile and have the most healing output. Shamans provide the best buffs due to totems and AoE healing. Druids have Brez, Innervate and HoTs.

Best race for PvE would be Troll for fast cast with Berserking or Undead for WotF to remove fear type effects quicker than the Tremeor Totem.

Best Horde race for Druid is Tauren.

I’m maining an Undead Priest, more for aesthetics than anything else. I’ve always liked the idea of a “zombie” type character that heals and supports others thru prayers and holy spells. Sort of polar opposites of what you would think.

With Druid, you would be locked in as a Tauren. Though not my typical cup of tea, their survivability and mobility are second to none. A Resto-Feral hybrid make great flag carriers in WSG. Druid healers also offer great group/raid utility with Innervate and Battle Rez.

I have virtually no experience with Shaman, but totems allow you to really customize your support role based on who is in the group with you and what content you are running. They are like super utility healers, and probably the best AoE group healers in the game. A great Shaman will go a long way. Lots of variables too, with Orc, Troll and Tauren all eligible.

Druid if you want to dps/tank on the side or flag carry in pvp.
Shaman if you want to raid heal and provide lots of totem buffs.
Priest if you want to switch between raid and tank healing.

Orc is good for pvp with the stun resist. Undead is good for if you want WotF as a fear break in pve/pvp. Troll overall is really good in pve because of berserking.
