What with mole people?

So, we know some races resemble some English speaking country’s accent, like Jamaica for trolls or Scotland for dwarfs. Now, am I missing something here with these “mole people” speaking? (i.e.: “Momma Nilla”) They sound like a Teen Titans character, what am I supposed to think? They don’t sound rough coughing enough for someone inhaling dirt all day.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think someone was channeling “Fargo” for the Niffen’s accent.
