Some of my favorite races of WoW that I find the most interesting have still not been fully explored to their full potential. The Tauren come to mind. Races like that are still “unshaped” and unfinished as they have not yet been evolved by the magic of order, arcane energy, and it’s about time we start exploring what will become of this bestial race once they are turned into beings of order.
Arcane energy, the essence of order and the titans, transforms primitive lifeforms into sentient life and makes them children of the divine.
This is why night elves appear more “human”, it is influence of the arcane energy linked to the titans. The original animals that were evolved by arcane energy, trolls, were granted sapience, language, and self-awareness by arcane magic.
The “human” face is really a face of titan origin. It’s a trait shared by titan constructs as well as primitive life that is uplifted to a new plane of existence as they become divine children of the titans.
I am very eager to see what will happen to interesting creatures such as the Tauren when they are finally given a proper form through arcane magic.

Either way there is a lot of potential for the concept of the playable animals currently in the game. It’s cool seeing (hopefully) future sentient playable races before they even exist in the lore.
Lol, you are well aware that arcane magic is what is allowing you to have an opinion at all. You can’t form ordered thoughts and communicate information without the power of the arcane.
I just really like the Tauren and want to see them brought to life by arcane magic. If you could make your dog talk and come to life wouldn’t that be awesome? Why not do it in the game?

Why does the race whose name is just nature need to be anything other than natural. And if you want to think about magical alterations think about what the mogu did to them

After the Mogu were done with the Yaungol, they split three ways: Yaungol stuck around, Taunka went north… the rest went to the Well of Eternity and were turned into Tauren.

A little, but they aren’t sapient yet. In the WoW universe sapience = human/(titan) face. Tauren still have animal faces/spirits and cannot yet have abstract thoughts like humans and other normal races of The Alliance.

Um I suggest you read up on your lore. Only titan-derived races are conscious and smell good
