Look, I think Monk could be my class. At least my primary alt. But its going to be forever held back by the lack of weapon attacks.
Logically, most Monk mains now love the fist assault. Good for them. I don’t want to take that away. But I kinda need a monk that attacks with a stave as an option. Let people just pick. That would be VERY FUN.
Who loses with options? You let DKs get an outdoor perma-mount while they attack. Very on brand. Very class centric. I love it. Now for monks, how about we get the look and feel of the monk in the Mist of Pandaria trailer that jacked up a human AND and orc at the same time using a stave.
Super cool. Very on brand. Sexy, even…So how’s about it Blizz?

The same thing it’ll take for Monks to be able to do damage comparable to say Hunter or Paladin. A competent Developer that actually doesn’t ignore the class and leave it completely underpowered while focusing on Shamans and Mages.
Monks honestly need a Xelnath level of overhauling at this point. Visuals, a new ranged Spec that focused on Chi and Jade Lightning and a couple of other things for Brew not to crumple like wet paper on hits are needed to mend the extreme bad-blood Blizzard has shown the class. This is as bad as Afrasiabi’s cancerous bias, and total lack of professionalism in toward Paladins in Classic.
This is War of the Feet. We got Xal’s Feet, Alleria’s Feet, and do you really think whoever is piloting this expansion is going to change the class who uses their feet the most?
Yeah it’s definitely worth the time if you like ARPGs, one of the best games on the market. But don’t expect to master it quickly, it takes years to fully understand everything. You can do just fine making logical choices or following guides though. You can literally never run out of things to try and do, the depth is incredible and they release big patches like 3-4x a year (and POE2 coming out on EA in 2 weeks).
