They will be pretty dead. WOW token went up 2k gold since the announcement on CATA servers so no one is buying the tokens to put on the AH. Glad I unloaded my gold for a bunch of free gametime. Hope the token comes to classic classic at some point

Era will always be here, they kept the servers running even when there was like 5 active players, but to answer your question, there will be some people with established characters/guilds that will stay but the vast majority will leave for fresh.
It’s the fresh waiting room atm, same with hardcore.
