What will be the minimum gear score to get into mythic 0?

I want to know what lvl to upgrade my gear to.
Thanks in advance.

Whatever the group leader will accept.

Oh ok, I thought there would be a requirement

580 should be acceptable. 585+ to be safe. I don’t think M+0s are going to be that challenging but gearing is easy right now.

i’m not accepting anyone under 585.

you certainly don’t need that ilvl to complete it, but that tells me youve been spamming heroics for vstones/crests so you likely know the dungeons way better

Anything that’s manually formed isn’t going to have a ilvl requirement.

Just make your own groups.

Because this is going to be the mentality of everyone in LFG. lol

Know the LAYOUT of the dungeons maybe…

Most bosses a) have an added Mythic mechanic that…turns it into an actual boss fight, b) heroic bosses don’t usually even live long enough to cycle through the mechanics they do have, c) the mobs do so little damage on their own that a couple weeks of running to the end of the hall and AoE blasting an entire wing of trash mobs before taking down an (also undertuned) boss in like 40 seconds does little to confer knowledge of which abilities are the most critical to stop/kick/avoid pulling extra of/etc, and d) half of the dungeons rely on prior expansions’ experience anyway.

Technically someone who has spammed heroics is likely to have better dungeon knowledge, but tbh the HP buffer is going to be far more valuable week one as people have to actually learn mechanics now.

I’m coming back to the game after playing pretty casually for a while and I googled what ilvl I should get in order for m0 and raids and google says 590+…

That being said, I’m now season capped on harbinger crests and I’m only at 586. If I spent more gold to craft and replace the heroic gear I can’t upgrade further I could maybe squeeze out 587 and if I went insane on rep grind maybe 588, but it’s not possible for me at least to even hit 590 before m0 and raid launch so no idea how anyone else would.

I have delve keys and radiant echoes stocked which I’ll use after reset which I’m thinking should get a few more upgrades to push towards 590 but not sure how that will actually play out.

I’d have to say asking for anything much higher than 585 at this point is like hiring for a entry level job and requiring 15 years of experience lol…

dont know because gearing in this expansion is trash dont expect to hit 585-590 that most seem to want.

Lmao

My group will probably be 574-580.

Knowing your new hero specs, and dungeon mechanics, will make a far bigger difference than pushing your gear up.

Hate to break it to you, but half the dungeons are getting swapped out for the S1 versions. Gonna be learning the reworked ones all over again.

It’s no surprise that some people are setting item level requirements close to the gear dropping in the dungeon. But, to each their own—it just means they’ll probably wait longer to fill their group.

In my opinion, players should be aiming for a 575 item level. Mythic 0s drop 593 gear, and at 575, they’re still fairly easy to clear. I was doing M0s on my 571 Hunter and still pulling top damage in my groups.

Make your own group and you won’t have to worry.

LOL. Responses like this really miss when guild/raid/heroic membership was based off DPS meter score or Stamina/dodge as a tank. When ilvl first became a thing, it was an addon. One thing I miss about the old ilvl/gearscore add-on is it told you if someone was missing enchants / specced stupidly / missing gems. If someone had a high ilvl but had bad enchangs or specs, you could at least tell they were just trash with no life.

The problem with the ilvl only mentality of today, is how do you know if someone really knows their rotation or how to dodge adds/AOE? Like how can you depend on them to actually know RAID mechanics?

These days, its really hard to tell if someone is good the game or really just has a lot of time on their hands, or worse yet, they are the wife of the guild master and just get prime raid slots through nepotism.

Me personally. Forget ilvl, I’m looking for someone who is willing to join voice chat and listen to Raid / Mythic instructions and follow commands.

Don’t listen to all these people that are roasting you. Most are probably 580 or less and just want to be mad at somebody cause they didn’t get invited.

I want smooth runs and people that try to do more than the bare minimum looking for carries. Getting to 585 is a reasonable ask.

If you and another hunter que for the same dungeon and there are no m+ scores or raid progress to go by, the only thing anyone will know is the hunter with the higher ilevel will have more HP to live mechanics and more primary and secondary stat so when they press their buttons they will do more damage then your buttons.

True. I think its the natural progression of gaming. I wonder how long until M+ scores become more like ELO ratings and start factoring in wipes, or damage taken, and such. Think the Starcraft ELO ladder.

But its not a crime to be nostalgic to when party composition was more personal. Although, I don’t think anyone misses having to walk to an instance or only being able to PUG through trade chat.
