What were the saddest in-game deaths?

Wasn’t it Malfurion the who was supposed to die also?

That was later.

When i fell to my death as a Demon Hunter

Thanks for introducing me to this channel. That’s some top-notch storytelling and offers a deeper perspective.

Lord Ursoc. He nobly sacrificed himself for his world and then again was he sacrificed so that Ardenweald could carry on. In fact it can be argued it was his anima that bought just enough time for us to arrive and rescue it and the entirety of the afterlife and indeed the very fabric of reality and existence itself since, if the Jailer got their way, it would have all been undone.

May his RAWR never be forgotten

This times a thousand.

Ysera was another good one. But Bridenbrad, especially back in Wrath itself when it was new, was just… another thing altogether.

A MoP achievement where you had to kill some NPCs.
One was a tauren (I think) who was just sitting under a tree peacefully.
I actually felt bad doing it even though it is just a game.

Yes the Redpath storyline is one of the greatest questlines in WoW. The updated version of Eastern Plaguelands is my favorite zone of all

That time I went into Serpent Shrine and missed the elevator at the start. I had to look at it one foot below me the whole way down. Twice.

Yep.

That quest was rough.

Vaelastrasz and Keristrasza.

Blizzard sure does love to crap on the red dragonflight. Or they did, I should say.

Varien. Hands down was so shocking to me as a horde player that they would kill Logosh…

And all those close to Jaina in the book. Just a gut punch. That mana bomb drop… That book chokes me up every time Kindy falls to dust when Jaina touches her body…

Only time I’ll admit emotions from a gnome.

There’s also the event in Legion Dalaran, happens every night at 9PM server time where you can accompany her Dad as he lights the lamp posts in Dalaran and instead of just lights, they’re glowing images of Kinndy.

I don’t know if anybody remembers Margaux from Suramar but I grew to like her really fast and I was sad that she was executed for trying to do the right thing. I named the mana wyrm pet we get at the end of the quest line after her.

Taelan Fordring in Hearthglen. That whole questline was so well done and cemented making Tirion Fordring my favorite character

The secret quest in the Legion Broken Shore scenario taking news of the battle back to a soldier’s widow. It is dark-dark.

Gotta say Ysera, but Arthas’ was the sad in that his final demise was pathetic.
