What weird peripherals do you use to play WoW

I use a Happy Hacking Keyboard without legends to play WoW. It doesn’t have a right side control key or arrow keys. I’m pretty much limited to shift for modifiers since I’m left handed and mouse with my right hand. I use it because I’m too lazy to switch out my work keyboard for programming and gaming after work. It’s also obviously not designed for gaming at all.

I also sometimes play WoW with an IBM bucking spring that I’ve modded for N key rollover and usb A. It’s incredibly loud to play games on.

I’m wondering if anyone else uses weird peripherals to play WoW - weird mice, weird keyboards, USB steering wheel, other contraptions… I’ve always loved collecting that kind of stuff. I’m wondering if anyone out there successfully plays with a trackball.

Knew a guildie in Burning Crusade who rigged WoW up to a DDR dance mat. Got him some exercise.

I used to use a USB foot-pedal for PTT in Ventrilo. Are foot-pedals still a thing?

I use arrow keys over wasd for every game i play

Yes, Elgato - now owned by Corsair and primarily know for the stream deck, makes a foot peddle you can use in WoW keybinds.

DDR dance mat sounds like something you could only use for leveling, slowly…

Sometimes I play on the trackpad, but not for serious content. I feel dirty about it.

Hey Nasuuna! Long time no see - I see you’ve cleared HC. Congrats!

I use a Dell Office keyboard, which may sound normal, but these days it’s probably pretty weird for a gamer to willingly have one of these at home.

Do I know you from somewhere?

I have a lot of good memories from college using super shiny Dell keyboards in my C.S. lab late at night. I’ve definitely played a lot of games with them too. There’s nothing wrong with rubber dome or scissor switch if that’s what you prefer to game on, I like working on an Apple peripheral keyboard with the magic touchpad since it helps with my carpel tunnel.

LOL I AM DEAD :skull:

I don’t use this to play wow but it keeps my legs moving, I have a under the desk pedal bike that I got to keep myself somewhat active playing the game / doing work from home.

It is fun to pedal faster when you’re on a flying mount lol

I recently picked up a “micro” keyboard (no number pad) where the F1 key is located directly over the 1 key and without any extra space between the F row and the number row. Also, no F key islands, if that makes sense. I mean, that’s probably not weird, but it makes hitting the F keys easier. Got it at a local computer shop.

I have one of those but when I put it under my desk I constantly bump my legs on the underside of my desk because of my long legs. It’s quite tragic.

I use a ps5 modded controller and 3 button foot pedal. I use the pedals as modifiers.

The controller has 4 remap back triggers 2 of which i use for mouse targeting (i use the touch pad to move the mouse curser) and 2 rotation buttons, while r2/1 l2/1 is also used for rotation skills.

I also used console commands to speed turning and faster camera movements.
