What wears you down?

What would you say wears you down the most in game? Not getting loot (either transmog, BiS, or just any upgrade you need) other players being toxic or elitist, certain dungeons or raids, the repetitive nature of quests, or anything else not mentioned?

Old age, the most I use to play hours at the game but now a few quests I ware out and have to leave ,rest and hopefully make it back in. I’m use to repetitive work and routine but not one that is my choice ,here it pretty much different which I’m glad I don’t get bored.

I die a little inside each week where my transmog pieces don’t drop from normal difficulty. So many raiders are passing on normal loot that we’re going to start focusing on heroic. I’ll have to either resort to pugging or wait weeks for the creation catalyst to give me normal level appearances.

Dungeons being designed for M+. Its obvious why they do it but dungeons these days dont feel like an adventure anymore idk. I like leveling alts becauae of the feelings that the older dungeons give.

I found I was starting to see signs of burnout in me as I’ve been playing since 2006 without any breaks. What I did was limit my playing to three days a week and suddenly I find myself quitting with things I wanted to do but ran out of time. That… actually feels good. I now have plans for things to do and mapped out when and how I want to start rotating in alts.

Now, not playing seven days a week I have time for other interests, projects and attending to things that need doing. In short balance in my entire life, not just game time. Burnout is no longer an issue and I look forward to playing in my allotted time.

The constant reworks every patch cycle. Makes it hard to enjoy a spec or class when they can totally rework their play style or other things that detract from what drew you to the class to begin with.

Keeping track of all the currencies. Not even just the currency tab, the ones in our bags. I basically try to figure out which ones I can totally ignore, and which ones I need for rewards I want.

That Blizzard makes announcements and gives information through social media or streamers more so than their own website. They end up giving information here as an afterthought if we are lucky.

Gate-keeping.
Be it arbitrary game systems, or the community.

For example, if I want to queue up for a M+ dungeon and just roll my chances on getting competent players, why can’t I?

They did this to solo queue arenas for a decade, now Solo Shuffle exists and it’s popular.

RNG.

It sucks the enthusiasm right out of me. Maybe what you want will show up tomorrow, maybe it will show up five years from now, maybe it will never show up. There’s not a damn thing you can do about it except pray.

ALl the nerfing specs into not being playable
Cant stand that

Hasn’t gone up in 18 years. I’d say we’re pretty lucky that we only have to pay $15 a month. WoW’s super cheap when you think of all of the ongoing content we get.

It’s a cesspool, and is wildly less popular this season than last. Also 40 minute DPS queue times.
