Why do we have to change things, for the sake of changing things?
I preferred the old interface.

Yes, they should have prioritized real issues.
inb4 the trolls.
It was bad, in many ways.
The new one is a lot better, functionally. You’re entitled to your subjective opinion, but purely from a functionality point of view, the new one is miles ahead of the old one.
The menu icons weren’t small enough and you could actually tell them apart without pausing and looking close. Now go spend an hour readjusting the half of the UI they actually let you edit so it can sorta-kinda look like the old one!
There was nothing wrong with it. If they don’t allow an option to use the old interface then I’ll be leaving. The one they put in is not made to be used quickly but takes a lot of time to customize. If I had wanted to do that I would have stayed playing RIFT which had options to customize that are just as frustrating as this new interface is. I just can’t stand the new interface.
They don’t believe in options.
What’s wrong with the beer we got?! It drink pretty good!..
In all seriousness, I like the new UI.
What about the new one requires you to customize it? It is functional out of the box. Far more than the old one, which you purport to like.
How is that? It’s not easily useable unless you are good at designing interfaces. I’m not…a lot of people are not. Blizzard is carving down their player base with this change.
Again; what about the new UI requires you to change it at all?
You CAN change it if you want to, which you couldn’t on the old one… but you don’t have to if you don’t want to.
There is a lot that needs fixing with the new UI.
Im sute i can find more but as of now. Those are my biggest gripe.
As-is it is quite intrusive. The 3-stacked action bars with the player icon down where it obscures the mobs you are fighting is very counter to what a UI is supposed to do - get out of your way.
It is obviously editable however the editor is very non-intuitive and does not allow for minor changes
I can’t post a pic but remove the spaces to see a screenshot

Unless they put an option in to use the older interface, I am letting my sub expire on the 4th of December and I won’t renew.
I believe it may depend on if you were using the original UI and how many bars you had up in that UI.
My stuff is all a complete disaster now, throwing off 17 years of game play muscle memory. I use double stacked bottom bars and double stacked bars on the right side of the screen. Now my spells are upside-down, and some are in completely new places. Now multiply that across all alts.
Vision issues that now make some of the icons incredibly hard if not impossible to see.
A battle map that now has to be clicked in a special place, then unlocked and then dragged into a new position because it is covering the entire bottom right-hand side to the screen and rendering those things inaccessible. Add to that being in the midst of pvp gameplay and having to click and drag said map every time you shift out of it.
That monstrosity of a huge map on the top right sucking up space with a tiny calendar button that is nearly invisible to the naked eye.
An extra button to drag the chat menu.
The point is that if players are forced to put in hours of time customizing the UI across all alts and not given the option to use the existing UI, then it is fail. Period.
Blizzard is trying to get you not to use third party addons. In the process they are putting addon creators out of business.
Many years ago I used a questing addon called Carbonite. It gave a arrow to follow while doing the quests.
About a year later, Blizz put the same thing into the base game. The creator of Carbonite quit developing and updating his addon.
I am not sure what road this new HUD is going to travel down. I like it so far.
Time will tell.
Old interface had a foundation to build off of.
This one doesn’t and feels soulless next to what we had.
I have literally no idea what this means; these are just words.
He is right.
The new ui has broke a LOT of players ui they had spend 18 years with.
Luckily i have deleted most of my toons im not longer playing and maining a fire mage that took me 30 mins to set up as i level her.
But this…this sucks. The new ui is a fail. Period.
Ultimately they probably should have given players the option to use the old UI if they really liked it.
That said, for years players have talked about how bad the base WoW UI was. It’s been a common thing for people to say basically since the vanilla days, even though they did some patchwork fixes here and there over the years. UI add-ons are among the most popular ones for a reason.
So there was quite a bit wrong with it.
UI addons are better than this trash UI they have forced upon us.
