What was wrong with resilience?

This PVE gear BiS for PvP has to stop

The problem was you couldn’t try pvp as a pve player without starting from the bottom. It’s not a good system. PvP gear is also the BiS for arena in most cases. You’re not going to find better trinkets and they most often have the exact stats and azerite traits you want for pvp.

Nice bait though.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read in regards to BFA. Lingering sporepods say what’s up

Blame Ion, he kept getting lost looking for pvp vendors and he hated having his bags full of pvp gear.

if only I didn’t need to do M+ to get revitalizing voodoo totem so I could pvp with it

There are outliers, but really, it’s a 5 man dungeon item. It’s not like you have to join a raiding guild, you join a pug and finish UR+10 a few times. If you can’t pug ur+10 you have no reason to concern yourself with BiS pvp stuff because you’re just a bad player. PvP is much harder than UR+10 at the level where BiS actually matters.

That’s not what you said though. You said PVP gear was BiS for PVP. There are far stronger PVE items that work better in PVP

That bags full of gear thing is weird to me. Right now my main (this character) has lots of extra pieces that I use to round out azerite sets for different specs. Going to the azerite reforge each time I switch specs (sometimes multiple times in the same hour depending on what I’m doing) is even more burdensome than carrying extra pieces. So this is still a thing.

You cherry picked some BS examples that maybe aren’t even true. Gladiator’s maledict is enough to force a trinket being used on its own, and then you would want a survivability one if you’re an actually smart player that is good enough for BiS to matter.

Sure, there are outliers that maybe are slightly better for specific classes, but why would that be a problem? Just do the 5 man lol. It’s worth it for the pvp performance, otherwise you must either just be too bad to complete the mythic, or not committed enough to pvp to actually want the performance. Sounds like you’re a real complainer.

I kinda made the whole “bags full of gear” up. But it does add to the point of how ridiculous the reasoning behind pvp vendors getting removed was.

Hi I’m Spacewaifuu. When I’m not messing around in Prot during random BGs, I swap to arms and use my Gettiku Cut of Death I earned from PVE content as well as my Sporepods and Bloodthirsty Urchin.

I also use Dream’s End which I got from heroic Zaq most of the time when I PVP, as well as Orgozoa’s Barb which have cool secondary effects.

Sounds like you just have no clue why PVP players hate the new system.

ladies and gentleman, the new way to gear for PVP

I’ve actually seen that attributed to them more than once though, so while it might be an urban legend it might also be something you’re remembering without remembering.

The one about Ion getting lost looking for the pvp vendor is definity one I know might be an urban legend. But the whole “meh bags are too full” is something just I made up.

you know what pairs really well with a maledict? A Lingering Sporepods! That way I can Maledict my enemy, then heal through their Maledict passively with my Underrot earned PVE gear

well they tried to lower the bar of entry for PvE players since the start of WoD, turns out they just don’t want to PvP. The unlucky thing is now not ever PvP players want to PvP anymore.

I’m betting anything I have that PvP would be much more healthy if resilience/PvP power was never removed from the game.

What’s wrong with that though? “I have to do PvE content because powerful gear exists in it that doesn’t exist reskinned and renamed from PvP vendors”?? There have always been outlier items that are especially strong in PvP from PvE. Weapons with unique on hit effects, and trinkets. Some others, but mostly weapons and trinkets.

Why is this a problem? Get good and seek power.

Which was good.

You also could not do the best PVE, without starting from the bottom in getting PVE gear (even if you had the best PVP gear.)

Your post is correct though, in that that is why Blizzard caved and did it. The PVE Raiders said, “What? We should also have gear that is really great for PVP, if we ever feel like slumming and doing it…?”

I loved the Last Season’s Arena set (season one), on my Hunter in BC, for regular battleground Honor. As you got each subsequent piece, you felt way more powerful in PVP. Another great thing was, it was also fantastic and buff for regular Solo PVE (which is all I really did anyway.)

So I never had “bags full of gear.” I just wore that set all the time. I did the same thing on this character, in MoP, with that “last seasons arena set, from regular battlegrounds.” It was not replaced until Timeless Isle, where I could get a regular Epic set much better for PVE (then the PVP set went in the bank.)

The reason why my Hunter, especially, liked the PVP gear was that as she got closer to a full set she could actually one on one PVP a mage or rogue and have a chance. That was an incredible feeling, the first time that happened in BC battlegrounds. Of course, then a couple of Alliance would ride by ignoring and then a couple of Horde guys would ride by and help the Horde dude…

Legion wasn’t like that for instanced pvp neither was WoD, at least as far as I could tell with WoD. World PVP is always derpy.

No u since you love the systems so much

Pvp vendors with resillience gear was the best pvp year on wow…or pvp expansion…i don’t remember how many years we use this feature in wow.

So, i like the idea to start from the bottom, farm honor doing some pvp , buy the first items that you can buy, then use this item with more honor point to get a better pvp item , then you start to be more resilient and powerfull in pvp, and in the end you start arena with the best honor pvp you can get then start to farm arena points for arena gear…after that , you try to reach 2200+ to get the elite set.

This was the best year and way of pvp in wow. You have a meta to follow, a focus, a path to walk…

Today this BS way to adquire pvp item, is randomized and not friendly, you need a bow , but the random item that comes in the list is a head.

So you need to do pve , you do a +10 key, one, two, three, four times and your bow didn’t drop…all the time are wasted…
this is fun to you guys ? really ?

They are forcing you to stay on wow using the RNG system in the pvp list or pve duns drops, and you are trying to say that’s ok ? - “OH BLIZZARD HOW I LOVE THIS TIME WASTED IN THIS FOUR DUNGEONS, I LOVE IT, I LOVE TO NEED A BOW AND I’M VERY SATISFIED THAT DIDN’T DROP THIS TIME BECAUSE I WANT TO DO THIS DUNGEON AGAIN, I LOVE IT HMMMMMMM”

…

The pvp today suc*s

The rng today suc*s

The “no vendor” thing suc*s

The pvp system suc*s
