I was 502, so lfr gear.
3 15 hour days, 5k in consumables and repairs. Didn’t get it. Had my ex do it. I was ready to delete her.

Ouch, yeah i had a couple of locks on my server ask me quietly if i’d be willing to log onto their accounts and do it for them, i don’t remember what gear levels i was at though tbh.

For me it was doing the mistweaver mage tower in normal Nighthold gear.
Probably modern mage tower since it scales down gear and caused a mass panic on forums. I never did WOD or panda challenges though
Day 1 (Nighthold) mage tower, or weeks 3-4 horrific vision 5 masks.

Oh good call. I literally tried that last fight until the servers shut down for the prepatch update. But alas, I will never be “of the Dark Harvest” 
I was just going to say mage tower. Of the ones I’ve beaten I’d say the frost mage twins after it was brought back in SL were the hardest. Or maybe that just stands out because it was the most recent. It was probably actually one of the original tank challenges.

Agreed. Frost Mage took me forever, the other 6 I did in 60 minutes tops, with the exception of Ret Pally, that took 90-120 I think
Frost honestly felt like the easiest of the twins options in SL. I didn’t have a mage so I had to do it on a class trial at level 60.
I can’t speak for it on other classes, I only ever did it as Frost since Mage is my main.
Day 1 Legion Mage Tower without a doubt.
Those challenges were beastly even if you were in Mythic Nighthold gear. A lot of people camped at the Mage Tower waiting for their servers to build it 3 days into the patch and were in for a very, very rude awakening when they realized that the challenges were, in fact, tuned around being moderately challenging in full Tomb (remember, this raid wasn’t even close to out yet due to Legion patch cadence) gear and not their own Mythic Nighthold gear.
I’m pretty sure SPriest didn’t have the gear to Surrender cheese their challenge all that easily either, at the time. That challenge became incredibly faceroll in Tomb gear or better, but in NH gear it was very hard because you actually had to play the game.

My main is shadow and for shadow it was the same fight as frost except.
You don’t have a kick for every hand.
You don’t have an aoe slow for the adds.
You don’t have a pet (In SL) that can soak the runes for you.
You dont have a slow for Karan unless you’re also standing still.
I surrender cheesed it night one. Was tight and it took a few attempts to work out when to surrender on Karam / pop drums, but in the end it wasn’t that bad.
Doing it without surrender on night 1 was ludicrous though.
Yeah from what I’ve heard shadow priest twins is way worse. Which is why ive never attempted it. At the time i did it on my frost mage we at least still had our water ele for the soak. That alone gave mages a huge leg up.
