That’s not true. They brought Illidan back to life using the explanation “he walked back to his corpse.”
We had to make the Crown of Wills cause sylvy broke the Helm of Domination. Obvi you have to replace one hat with another.
Plus why try to repair the iconic helm in the first place? Everyone loves to look of that golden crown, shame I couldn’t wear it myself. Speaking of… Shouldn’t Bolvar put that on that cold head of his? I know it offers now zero armor protection but I’m sure his bald head of his is aching for a sweet headslot.
Domination magic is useless against strong wills, so Primus used the wills of everyone who ever defied the lich king and use them to forge crown of wills and gave it to Pelagos.
“The golden one claims a vacant throne. The crown of light will bring only darkness.” Whether that is talking about Pelagos or my favorite tin foil hat theory Turalyon is anyone’s guess.

I wonder if there is anybody out there in the Warcraft universe right now that we really really wouldn’t want to be immune to domination magic? I can’t think of anyone currently under some sort of spell but it’s a fun thought that if somebody like that got their hands on the crown of wills, they could be unstoppable.
The crown of wills wasn’t there to make us immune to the domination magic. It was there to crown a new arbiter.

Keep in mind that the Jailer encounter was not originally designed for the 9.2 raid, but for the following tier and content. Presumably there was something in the 9.3 storyline about the Jailer finding ways through the Crown of Wills’ magic.
The crown of wills is almost as bad as four random objects conveniently separated in different zones on the same island serving as “pillars” of the planet.
The Golden One claims a vacant throne. But the crown of light will bring only darkness…

Lol I was think more like Elune who may have two sides (light and dark) or something stupid. That we all need balance blah blah… etc etc.
I feel like it’s possible because it would mean Sylvanas will probably save us and it would ruin night elves even more.
