What do you mean by best?
Like, I have the fondest memories of Arena from the end of MoP, I had just started playing and I made my first in game friend.
He was a Warrior, I was an RDruid.
I had no idea what I was doing, at the time, but we spent many an hour on Vent playing Arenas.
He left in WoD, I haven’t really played Arena since.
But you may not mean that sort of best.
Legion Forums were insane.
Rorke, Truepally, Shivins, Fox, Big Laz, Phen, Murph, Remi (Dark), Holywarriors…
Why are there so many of us from this particular era? I wonder if any others have a similar story?
I got arena master / duelist at the end of MOP, was in mmr range of glad a few times. Going from MOP to WOD I prepared pretty intensely so that when WOD dropped I was rank 1 on multiple classes. WOD was just such a radical change from MOP, I didn’t find PVP fun anymore, and so I quit. It’s kind of haunted me I never got the Gladiator title, despite being in r1 range.
I barely played WoW between the beginning of WOD and now, maybe did like a 3 - 4 week tour during whatever expansion was released around 2018, then quit again because I was just kind of over WoW. At this point, I’m just waiting for the ratings to inflate so I can snag gladiator and legend. No point in being ultra sweaty attempting to do it now.
What shocks me to this day is how many players from the MOP era still religiously play this dam game. It’s like they never stopped, I find that incredible.
You nova I trinket
R-A-V-A-G-E-R.
king of the chads zowrn
Remi (Dark)
Remi was known as Dark lol?
Legion Forums were insane.
Legion was a great time to post. I feel like a lot of the people that made the forums fun are now banned and half of the people we see now are just Joe’s hidden alts.

Yep, that was his DK’s name.

LOL, yeah Joe is an interesting fellow.
Legion was a lot of fun here on the forums & in game for me personally.
Miss it.
Pre downvote change was peak arena forums. Special shoutout to mop.
The dozer era was good times. Way more entertaining than biebz
The propel era of wod. No one will hold a candle to her trolling. Swole wishes he could be her.
Keep my name out of your mouth.
I miss Murklock complaining about Destro being weak in BfA and claiming turbo was the ultimate unbeatable comp because he lost to it even after buying a carry from Dino.
Good times.
Idk about the past, since I didn’t come here until BFA, but I think that BFA felt a lot better than any other expansion that followed.
Maybe it’s nostalgia and because I only browsed occasionally rather than read/responded actively, but I felt like people were a lot more interested in improving and trying to learn than to just whine about balance.
It’s been really disappointing to see so many community R1/mvp players who genuinely tried to help players leave the forums entirely because players are wanting more and more for blizzard to buff/nerf than learn how to play their class.

Between Beibz and Dozer flooding the forums with drivel and the prevalence of shuffle bringing in folks like Trexx to talk down to people on 10.0.7 Ret, the forums are in a sad state with all that’s left being a severely diminished group of folks.
I remember even SL S1 having way more activity than we have right now.
Well, to be fair, that was the only ACTUAL time blizzard negatively influenced mmr so the season was pretty dead and a lot of people were on the forums instead of playing XD

bro you’re just like me. I was actually in r1 rating range but then my partners stopped playing but I was a giant fricken tool and kept playing and dropped a lot of rating.
Ended up duelist instead of r1 :´)
That was honestly a life lesson for me that I overdo things

true. I remember dillypoo posting here. Dillypoo was the venruki of our era, though different and a bit more grounded. Dillypoo was a cool guy I think.
The propel era of wod
I remember the name but I don’t recall what they were about. I remember they were like a priest or so
I remember Bryntt. Thanks Bryntt.
Best season for the forums were in wod with combat rogue red buff kill because there was a guy who literally stole a bunch of people’s accounts somehow(I guess they tried to get a pilot?)
Anyway back then it was so elitist you couldn’t even play the game unless you had achieves, so people bought boost/pilots/DDOS’d hand over fist. Nowadays anyone can just q it up with shuffle
