What type of character do you play in single player RPGs

Title + Do you play the same type of character in MMOs.

Me, I play a sword and shield tank all the time. I don’t in MMOs because I like to look around and enjoy the scenery. People want to rush, even when the dungeon or raid is new. So I play plate DPS, using swords

Ironically one wouldn’t peg me for the sword type seeing as I main Hunter, but I prefer a pair of swords or large knives maybe a duet of scythes in hand.

A rogue because I plan on stealing everything that isn’t bolted down and on fire.

Mage.

I always have liked playing them. If I can, I play them in table top games as well as most single player games that have them.

I usually skip the base Warrior, Mage and Rogue right off the bat and see what’s left.

All of them.

If the game is good enough, I’ll play it again on a different class lol

I eventually did Dragon Age: Origins on every class.

I prefer melee classes. There’s something satisfying about laying the beat-down on up close and personal.

Usually plate, swinging a two handed sword, so I can get reported by Dragons for being toxic.

I’m currently playing as a mage/healer in my modded Skyrim and tried my best to make it resemble a priest. I’ve always enjoyed playing as a cleric/priest in every game that had them, wow included.

The concept of being divine or using divine magic has always appealed to me.

Paladin or Cleric,

Typically, I’m the shield carrying tank.

Archer or Mage. Ranged forever.

I’m barely 5 feet tall in real life, can’t imagine weilding a sword and board in any universe.

Varies from game to game. Sometimes I am a heavy plated two handed bezerker , other times I can be a fast paced gunslinger. From Medieval/Fantasy, to Space/Syfy, I tend to never stick to just one kind of playstyle when it comes to any game. For the most part anyways.

i always, always start off as a rogue-esque ninja stealth assassin character and always end up as a righteous and brave paladin. it’s annoying

I love how valuable Rogues are to the party in RPGs. I think DDO did the Rogue best, but Assassin Rogue in WOW is a lot of fun. If only you could use swords as an Assassin Rogue

I don’t play a lot of single player RPGs. When I do, I typically look at Youtube to find the efficiency killing builds. I like to kill many enemy in short amount of time. Example: Mount & Blade goes a lot cleaner when you know which poleaxes are BiS.

My MMO practices don’t really align. I find myself going deep on learning every class eventually. I have every class 60+ on Black Desert. I have every class to Champion on Elder Scrolls. I have every class 80 on Guild Wars 2. I have had every class to max level on WoW several times, but WoW’s systems frequently make that annoying to keep up with in some way. I have every single weapon and armor at tier 8 on Albion Online. I had max character slots with different meta builds on Great Lakes server on Ultima Online. I had every Midgard class at at least RR5 on DAoC. I am a serial jack-of-all-trade-ist.

Interesting. DAoC was my first MMO and I played that for years before discovering other MMOs. I played multiple classes as well. Game was so fun. My favorite was the Thane and I still haven’t been able to find a class the same as that since. There wasn’t a class I didn’t love in that game. Shrooming up doors at keeps were hilarious.

Almost exclusively Paladin or Warrior type characters. Big swords, dual wielding is better, heavy armor.

I don’t play any single player games because I hate tanking mobs. In this game, I can snatch a nearby tank (or convince a friend to play one) and they will do the annoying mob management while I pew pew pew.

Master of all. if the option allows me to i do everything.

Chaotic evil magic user, preferably necromancer, or else just general violent psychopath.
