I am back playing WoW after a four year break. When I played before, the best way to get rid of extra honor was to spend it all on Brutal Gladiator’s Mutilator daggers because they had the highest sell value in gold for the honor. Now with it being switched to Marks of Honor, I am sitting here in fully upgraded PvP gear with 10k Honor and no knowledge of how to spend it.
Even if it isn’t a good as the old-school option with buying those daggers, what is the best way to spend extra honor now?

Have you bought all of the sets?
Also, buy marks of honor and use those to buy the PvP potions, which can sell in the AH.
You can buy 5 marks of honor with 2000 honor.
Other than that, nothing.
Def do the honor exchange into marks of honor if you’re missing appearance sets, can also buy full weapon appearances for a season for 80 marks
Marks of honor can also be redeemed for potions or if you’re enchanting you can disenchant rank 5 honor shields (epic) for guaranteed epic crystal or rank 1 honor shields for dust if you’re levelling that or if it sells well on your server’s AH

Yeah, the 2000 honor box, contains 5 marks of honor.
It was added in 9.0.5.

They really need to add a method to transfer honor points to alts. That would be the ideal solution for this problem of “im capped on honor and have nothing to spend it on”.
Here’s an idea for a new purchaseable item borrowed from another poster in the PTR forum:
Marks of Honor are pretty useless since I’m already swimming in them and I don’t really care about transmog stuff.
Given the choice, I would rather just send the 2000 honor points to an alt (which is actually useful) than spend them on the fairly useless Marks of Honor.

Without wanting anything from marks of honor, or if you already have a ton of them, you can get the off hand item, upgrade it with honor to epic, and DE it and sell the crystal. When I get to 15k honor I do that about 5 times and make 2500 gold off it or so. Better than sitting at cap.
EDIT: Assuming you have enchanting I guess which you might not. But yea, that’s about all I can think of besides buying old PVP gear.

As above stated, you can use them to purchase Marks which can be used to buy all the previous expansion pvp armor/ weapon sets(transmog only). Very cool IMO. You can also use them to buy the pvp mounts which there is an achievement for, they’re 15 marks each.
