So right now I have a warrior and a death knight level 60. The warrior is prob what id consider my main atm. I overall really like the tankiness of my Arms warrior and it has great burst damage. I play in wm alot so its alot of fun catchin people out in 1v1’s. Only problem with him is he isnt very self reliant. If I fight someone that can heal or kite me really well I’m a goner.
So for this character that I want to level next I’d like for it to be. So I am open to opinions, but so far I’m thinking between feral druid or ret paladin. Reason being is they are sorta close to my warrior on being able to face tank stuff, but have healing as well which is a def plus. What do you guys think? I’m also sorta afraid to commit cus idk what the balance changes are going to look like in the next month or so haha.
So what are you planning to do? I see you mentioned WM but is there anything else? Dungeons, world content, instanced PvP for example. Those may impact advice from people.
Well I might do heroic raiding and ill for sure do my weekly m+, but aside from that prob alot of wpvp. might do mythic raiding later if i find a good group but not sure.
Oh might also do arena just depends on if i find teammates or not.

From my experience with how things have been in the past two weeks, the ones you have so far are doing stupidly well. Arms war is terrifying when played well - like, pull aggro off the tank type of damage. Unholy DK is insane as well.
As far as the two potential class/spec combos go (and what follows is my opinion) -
Feral has struggled for a while. I don’t know if it’s because the ferals I’ve run with are struggling or if it’s the spec as a whole but they seem to be… lacking for whatever reason and I can’t put my finger on why. HOWEVER, if you roll a druid you have access to the heal spec which seems to be the FotM for healers.
Ret seems to be doing pretty well. The spec feels solid to me and more AoE is good. Couple that with the paladin toolkit and they are tackling overworld content without too much trouble. I can’t speak for WM since it’s not my thing.
I would keep an eye on sites like benched.me and mplus.subcreation.net, since they rank specs based on performance.
However, I’m going to invalidate everything I just said - it doesn’t matter how a spec performs if you don’t enjoy it, and a player who plays well can make a bottom-tier spec viable. So, my quick advice is just to play what you enjoy and focus on mastering it.
Yeah I hear ya I’m not TOOOO concerned with them from a pve perspective cus like you said they can all work. Its mostly from a pvp perspective I’m trying to make a choice on. Knowing blizz they will nerf ALL my options that I’m interested in haha.
Go feral druid. They’re great in PvP, traveling around The Maw will be speedy. You already have 2 plate, now you’ll open up some more options moving forward!
All four roles available. Stealth. Travel forms. Very high utility overall in the world. Brez. mine are tanks… I like big butts, I cannot lie
And even if something else becomes your main they’re great farmer alts. Old raids you can just sneak through boss to boss for mounts/pets, flight herbing if you go that way, WQ are nothing even in poor gear for emissaries… if you’re alliance (as you’re posting on one) NELF is double awesome. Stealth in, kill target, smeld out, and carry on.
It’s a very tough choice. Do you guys think that feral can facetank elites and stuff out in the open world easy? Or would they be too squishy? Where I’m at is ik I love my warriors tankiness and his mobility, just don’t like his lack of self reliance. So I just don’t know how much survivability I’d be giving up with feral, and ik I’d be giving up alot of mobility as ret.
anyone got any input they would like to add? Think I’m lookin at Feral or ret now. unless you guys think something else would fit what im lookin for more?
