Just, I got a 60 and 70 boost just collecting dust, freebies in a sense. I feel I ought to use them but I don’t know. I feel like I need to level said character to make it “mine” stupid I know.
Not really, its significantly better to level up a character normally to have a better understanding of the skills you get.
Having 10+ skills dumped on you can easily confuse people on how youre meant to use them.
You could simply use them to create a farming alt, maybe an alternative to a name/race change.
Or something like that.
They shall collect dust in the corner of your login screen till the end of time.
I used one, what a bad idea that was. I have since parked that character at some mount dropping boss I can’t even remember.
Though, for me… The main point of a good chunk of my alts was to grab their heritage armour… Which did not work unless you levelled manually. Not sure if that’s been changed, but it’s pointless now anyway, I have them all.
Might use one to make a character on another realm if ever needed… Can’t see that happening thanks to how warbands work now.
I was debating on using them on characters on servers I wanted to transfer to. Like I have a Human Paladin and Night Elf Rogue 71 and 60 respectively. Instead of using money, maybe I could just use the boosts. But then it’d feel like there was a stain on them… Kind of wish I could simply gift the damn things.
Indeed.
I can see them being useful to people who don’t already have an army. But like the above poster said…
Harder to learn your class that way when a hundred skills are dumped on you at once.
Thing about that is, I pretty much have (at least on Feathermoon) all classes to 80, having leveled legitimately.
Yep, all mine just sit there, I need time to get to know the abilities and get used to the play style. Having everything dumped on me at once isn’t that fun. It can be done, but I prefer the other way.
Sounds like you are in a similar position to me then.
Pretty much pointless, unless you perhaps decide to switch locations, like playing on EU for instance.
Thank you everyone for the comments. I guess I’ll continue to ignore them for the time being. Letting more accumulate as I continue to use WoW Tokens to get the Epic WoW expansions.
Waste it/Destroy it, that’s what I always do.
Boost a random character, delete it immediately.
Never understood why they want players to skip the rest of the game upon buying the latest expansion.
I get it, yeah, ‘we want players to do the current thing’, but hot damn will those players be lost, and likely not even know most basic stuff that’s taught to you over playing from level one.
It’s basically a noob-trap.
Also, the newer content generally runs dry faster, and you’ll find yourself engaging with older content more often than not anyway.
Leveling is one of the best parts of WoW, and it’s funny to see it blatantly skipped over.
Honestly I’d leave it. I even have a coupla character race changes I remember buying with a purpose but I forgot what it was now.
With how quick experience is at the moment more fun levelling.
That’s why I used my TWW 70 Boost to make a druid, specced them Bear, and gave them Herbing and Mining. Who cares if I know the class, I just fly around gathering and if something does manage to catch me out of Flight form somehow, I just go Bear and mash buttons until I win.
You use the WoW boost to boost your character level.
Use them to roll alliance characters for classes you already know well, or to go to dead servers to farm rare stuff without competition.
