What to do with spare parts?

So I had a lot of spare parts crates before i took a break, now I came back and have done nothing but grind mecha for the rep.

Im sitting on 200 spare crates…is there something worth using the spare parts on or is it just a mecha currency that will end up being useless?

If you keep them odds are they will become useless.

If you trash them they will be the best items for some spectacular item you always wanted.

I would keep them, but be advised I am a packrat.

As a tank who got exalted 30 chests before they had the 80 for all three tiers of essences. RRRAGHGGHGHHGHGHG

That said, you can get mechanocat and some robo mounts if you haven’t already, or 415 gear by the time you’ve grinded 440 gear through the rep grind to exalted.

You can make Rustobolt Resistance Insignias which give 100 Rustbolt rep and they are account bound, so good for alts. One insignia per crate.

Seems quite low does it not? 20k rep for somewhat a patch worth of farming…maybe im not looking at it the right way lol

I made 1000 spray bots. I like to stick them at the auction house and see how many people I hit

Use them on the high tier feasts

It’s just an option that you can take or leave. But a way to get rid of the crates if you’re done with Mech.

Make the reputation thingies for your alts. That’s about all they’re good for.

Can always sell spare parts to vendor for 1 copper each. Make sure to break down your crates first because they also sell for 1 copper each. At least that will get them out of your inventory if you’re not going to use them.

Ah okay, seems like the best course then. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt gonna miss something worth while if I used them all for rep.

Make stuff for the title achievement.

The meta achieve requires you to finish lots of construction projects as well as craft a lot of items.

Can’t really use them up. They drop off everything. If you ever really decide to do anything on the island, you can get thousands more quite easily.

Build galvanic oscillators and get rank 4 essences?

Make rings and stuff maybe? Whatever Pascal can make that you like.
