Get dungeon quests out of the way while hopefully gaining some better gear also. Make good money if you wait until 60 to do the quests. Probably anything ST and higher.
Look for 20 man pugs, maybe try to get an ez ony helm. Find a comfy guild to support you.

Yes, do the lingering 5 man dungeon quests for places like BRD, Strat and Scholo. You could also do some Dire Maul runs for some helpful gear. Get attuned for MC, BWL and and Ony in the process, that can take a while.
Once you run those enough have some decent blues (pre-BiS), run some ZG and AQ 20’s.

Endgame dungeons, attunements for the raids, ZG. Get your professions to 300 if you haven’t, there’s some great crafted gear and other useful items from professions.

If you’re like me (most player are not) start another character. So far in Classic I have characters of all 9 classes (and 2 hunters) in the 35-44 range. In retail I’ve been at it longer, and have 34 characters at level 120. I also enjoy professions, and making gold with professions.
Most players prefer the end game: they get 1 character to 60, call that their “main”, and then use that for either raiding, or Mythic dungeons, or battlegrounds, or world PVP.
But WoW is a big game. It’s fine to NOT do most of it, and just do a lot of the things you like doing. So I encourage you to try leveling, try max-level dungeons, try battlegrounds. Then decide what you like and do that.
What class is your level 60? What sub-spec? You are posting on a retail character, so we don’t know. That may affect the advice people give.

Get attunes done > Raid. Don’t even need to worry about pre-bis anymore tbh.

do what you find most fun. maybe i’m biased but that’s how i play games.
if you’re looking for a list of things to do for specifics reps/profs/gear progression/etc. sources like wowhead will have a nice list of gear for you to click on to find out where to get them. or just do what azzuree said.

I just dinged 60 the other day on my Holy Paladin, & plan to start working on the 0.5 tier Soulforge armor set quests as I finish collecting the full 8 piece Lightforge set to turn in. I will also probably do some ZG & AG20 with her, but not likely any 40-man raiding (I’ve done that with my Druid & Hunter). This will be the only character that I do the 0.5 tier quest with though. I also need to start working on my epic mount quest-line.
I raided in an MC PuG on my mage wearing the ring from deadmines, lavishly jeweled ring. I was trolled for it a bit, but I got my Rag kill and some loot. I did have bloodvine though.
Don’t worry about dungeon prebis at this point. Just get wbuffs and buy consumes and you’re good to go.
