What to do after starting zone?

Returning to the game (retail) after a several expansion hiatus - have played Classic for the last year. Was on the fence between boosting my old Paladin and starting a new DK - went with the latter.

I’m level 16 and have just finished the DK starting zone, however I have absolutely no idea where to go from here. I have never played a DK before in any expansion. The end of the quest took me to the throne room in Stormwind, but where do I go from here? There was a questgiver next to the King asking me to go to Redridge, however I’ve also been reading up on Chromie. Any advice is appreciated.

Look for Chromie in SW. Should be on the map. Then just choose your quest, and follow the map.

From my understanding, Chromie only works if they already have a level 50 and have completed the main BfA storylines.

There should be a person by the command boards that has the starting quest for BfA.

Otherwise, yes, try and talk to Chromie and choose which expansion you want to do.

Welcome back!

According to the patch notes, if you have a level 50 - you can start Chromie Time with another character.

If you go to the heroes call board - it will give you a list of zones to choose from and give you the applicable quest to find the xpac you are wanting to do.

Also, Chromie time can be activated and deactivated at will, simply by speaking with her.

The fastest xpac to level through currently is WoD, however, WoD, BFA, and legion are all relatively fast. I encourage you to level through content that interest you - as they are all relatively quick.

Good point. I just assumed he had done that already. My bad OP, if that is the case.

Good call out - I do not have a 50. To confirm, I need to go to the command boards instead? Assuming Chromie doesn’t work? I never played BFA.

Yeah, you should be corralled into the BfA storyline, because they are super proud of that steaming :poop:. Check out your map, and follow the arrows leading you from portal to portal/quest giver/turn-in/etc. Should be near the quest board, I’m not sure, I don’t have an alliance character, but its gotta be similar to horde.

Pick drustvar first its the most fun story zone for Alliance, then Stormsong Valley and last would be Tiragarde Sound (least fun storyline still ok).

The storyline for Alliance is decent (above average for a MMO) unsure if the horde side is as good

BFA seems to be funneling characters into Tirasgarde Sound exclusively, now. Likewise, funneling Horde into Zuldazar.
