Also, no one knows how balance will be yet, it changes until release, and then there are almost always hotfixes in the first couple weeks of the new content. If you care about choosing a meta pick, youâre better off waiting a few weeks into DF to see actual data. But then youâre behind the curve. Pick your poison, I guess.
If you care more about how a spec plays, use the prepatch (probably end of the month) to test out classes / class changes, as the mechanics are not going to be changing at that point.
You can make Class Trials that start at a high level. Just hearth out of the training scenario so you can change to the spec you actually want to try.
Make a decision after playing around with what there is.

that depends on literally 10 different things⌠do you like tanking? healing? or what? what playstyle do you enjoy personally? no one can give you a right answer⌠like whats with the sass?
Hunter, Warlock or Mage.
Those 3 will always have at least one spec that pumps.

i can adjust to whatever playstyle i want a class thats good/will still be good in a month in DF seeing as i have no intnt on guilkd raiding as retail is a caual side project ill be using the rest of shadow lands for solo RDF / LFR so preferably something thatll get quick queue times

good in dragonflight (and every other expansion)? warlock

There is no way of knowing what will be the best dps until tuning is finalised.
And whats best from an enjoyment point of view is completely subjective.
Why not try using the class trials to see what you like the look of?
Best bang for your buck IF you want to be able to just about everything is to run something with all three specs.

Paladin
Druid
In that order for me because while I love Rdruid, I really cant stand the other specs at this point.
Im loving BM Hunter, Destruction Lock and Unholy DK on the Beta, so of course Im going to give my biased opinion that those three would be good choices.
i wanna do rogue but i dont wanna have 20+ min queue times so im pretty much going to be forced to roll tank or healer class

Rogue in WoTLK and Rogue in Retail are about as similar as Paladin and Demon Hunter.
