Any bets on what time we can make evokers? 8am pst?
When the patch is done. 8am is insanely optimistic for a big patch. I think we would be lucky prior to 3pm pst. I wouldnt be shocked to see patch extended at least once.
So like usual i will head to work and hope its done by the time i get home
Bout that time.
Isnāt everything already in? Donāt they just need to flip a switch at this point and turn it on?
Maintenance tomorrow is from 7am PST to 3pm PST.
I would not count on 8am anything south of 12pm is a safe bet along with lots of lag.
3pm PST. Servers will be up and running.
Itās never that easy.
If that logic held true we would have had the same thing a few weeks ago to āturn onā the new ui, talents and stop the set bonuses.
Ive been around long enough to know its rarely that simple. I would expect earlier then 3pm to be the dream at this point.
Expansion on the 28th i would put further back with late that night it being up and many restarts and emergency patches over the weekend
Thatās their target, but Iām betting closer to 6pm PST.
I have no expectation of actually being able to play tomorrow. If they get it done in time thatās great, if not I get to grab the popcorn and indulge on all of the outraged forum posts of people absolutely shocked that a prepatch wasnāt done on time
Jesus Christ
We have days like this so that the expansion launch day is less painful.
Apart from a handful of people, BFA and Shadowlands launch day went rather smooth.
Sure but itās still pretty up in the air if you are going to get a smooth launch or WoD, and thereās no accounting for queue times on busy servers even if it does go smoothly.
I have always counseled to not get your hopes up and I have never felt āoutragedā when things happen. The patient life is a peaceful one.
It says 3pm pst on the desktop app.
Iād put money itāll get delayed until 5pm at leastā¦
I wasnāt here for WoD launch cause my computer decided to stop running wow with the WoD pre-patch. (RIP Core Hound Mount :()
But Legion, BFA, and SL all went very smooth for me and I played without interruption for like 12 hours.
Legion was when they introduced Sharding to prevent the issues that previous expac overload was causing.
And I hope it goes well, Iām still not going to expect it to. I certainly wouldnāt put my faith in it strongly enough to take a day off of work or anything.
Wrath classic launch for instance was pretty smooth on my server, but for the folks on benediction there were 8 hour queue times. Hype can drive huge traffic and the more an expac is hyped the more likely it is to happen.
I know they have put in a bunch of work to mitigate that, all Iām saying is donāt be surprised if it still goes south you know?
I prepare for the worst, expect the worst.
That way Iām pleasantly surprised if it goes well.
But I still try to be optimistic.
Exactly, I guess what I mean is having a plan B for what to do tomorrow evening isnāt the worst thing you could do lol
8pm ET, 5pm Pacific is my guess.
