Well? Go on…
He would like to explain more … but he got disconnected.
I am not having disconnect issues.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
I have 5g internet and I rarely disconnect. When I do, it’s almost always from crashing my drake.
YES!!! its been a constant problem for months now! ive 100% confirmed the problem is not on my side either.
It mostly happens when i am doing dungeons/raids. Looking at other forums, it looks like there is a major issue with people disconnecting doing numerous things. Everything about this xpac has been amazing, but ive never had this kinda trouble with DCing issues until this xpac.
Had this issue early on in DF but the past month has been good.
I’ve been having it too. I get massive lag spikes, like 500-800ms+ then disconnect. It might be realm specific. I’ve recently been seeing this on Mannoroth.
im on Undermine and have the bad lag spikes as well
If it happens when you’re on a dragon, stop running forward while taking off.
I just went to Final Fantasy 14 and finished killing all the Archfiends instead of worrying about this game yesterday

If I hit lift off and smack into something, I almost always disconnect.
It’s the game OP, not you. This has been happening to many people over the last 2 months.
I experience about one per day. My computer is about a year old, pretty darn new. I have more than 4 times the requirements to run this game and I run it on Ultra settings. I also do not experience this with other games. I can also customize or optimize my graphics card with each game I play on my PC…so everything is optimal.
example - I fly into Valdrakken at 800% speed and will sometimes crash my game (not my computer), just the game and it takes a min or so to reload.
One major question - Do you have a Nvidia Graphics Card?
WoW has been having some major issues with Nvidia (and they will not admit it). They have also started to use more current coding as they expand their software or upgrade their software with World of Warcraft and this has lead to many issues.
This has been an ongoing thing with Nvidia, their tech and Call of Duty for years now and has now leaked in to their other spectrum of games; the backend and coding and software are all pretty similar and use if not share the same general things and purposes.
This game has had literally 1381 hotfixes, bug fixes, and game updates in just 2 months. And there is countless others they have yet to touch or even acknowledge.
I do have a Nvidia graphics card, and same as you, my computer is way over the requirements’ to play the game. I also play with WOW on ultra. I do not have these issues with other games. What you said makes sense.
If I start having multiple disconnects I close out WoW, close BNET, and I mean close it close it like end that task, open BNET back up, and usually there will be an update for the client. Just throwing it out there in hopes it helps.
Seems to be based on packet rate. Could it be that Blizz put in some type of DDoS mitigation that needs tuning? At least that is the only pattern I can see. Battles with lots of different spell actions = more packets = more likely to disco.
I do admit that I’ve had similar problems on wow that I don’t have on other games, but nobody listens they just say ‘get a better computer’, pretty sad…
On FF14, never ANY trouble…and majority of my other games work perfectly.
