I tried to loot a chest. one item still in the chest, I’m currently about 50 yrds away from a Natha’vor Drudge npc with 68k hp, who is still attacking me. And I’m in flight form but can’t fly away. but I can still fall into afk, but not get disconnected from the game. LOL

Went into a delve. Can’t loot the shrooms for Brann, can’t click the quest objectives, and can’t log out AGAIN. I had to alt F4 to close the game.
NOW,
Can’t log in my paladin. A character with that name already exists. Well, I guess that’s it for tonight until the reboot.

My armchair diagnosis is that it’s some kind of unhandled exception on the server end that’s making it completely lose track of a given player. It’s not on the client end (since you can run around to a limited extent, and chat) and it’s not a complete disconnect, so it’s probably something specific to the world server.
My even-more-armchair prediction of the ultimate cause is that somebody Chesterton’s Fence’d a try/catch block that they didn’t know the purpose of, et voila, they found out the purpose!
