They used to be fun. I mean seriously, is blizzard trying to screw over casuals? (I know, git gud - whatever…) - if hardcore players want difficult, then give them a heroic version and reduce the normal rewards.
Also: Timewalking is Heroic. And it’s not supposed to be a cakewalk. They were a challenge back then and that’s why they were implemented. People were looking for the excitement and nostalgia of the old challenges of the old Heroic dungeons, Blizz obliged.
I get they weren’t easy then - but our group had 420+ gear. We’ve 4 man heroics in BFA and had no problem. We did our first timewalking dungeon tonight and got absolutely wrecked on the first pull. I can see people complaining on reddit that the difficulty is too much; and I agree.
Azjol-Nerub (and admittedly, 1st pull we got cocky… wasn’t expecting the difficulty ramp up) - but after that, our druid couldn’t keep the paladin healed. It was so bad, we gave up like 10 minutes into it.
I just don’t think the dungeons should be that hard. It seriously ruined our fun tonight.
Then you need to learn the mechanics. Those dungeons were never meant to be pulled like that. CC is needed. As are interrupts. Don’t take on too much. Learn what the trash does.
Timewalking isn’t meant for you to snooze through. You’ll finish them without issue if you learn how they work first.
The spell flingers will reck u if u dont interrupt them, they do % damage…but also, unless its changed since the last time i really played a dk, which its been a while …tell em to use control undead on a spellflinger, it makes that place go by realllll quick lol.
Those dungeons back in the day on Heroic were hard. I suspect they were the equivalent of Mythic lower keys now. Mechanics mattered and they still do. Pick any of the TW Wrath dungeons and I can tell you where players fail miserably to pay attention to that fact.
I like them, despite having failed terribly when I tried to take my poor lower level Priest healer through one. The rest of the group seemed to completely ignore mechanics, used little or no damage mitigation and wiped three times before I gave up and left. I simply could not keep them alive.
If players keep telling Blizzard to nerf content to make it simple and easy, we will end up with a simple and easy game. Or should say, an easier one.
It’s no longer fun becoz your group got wrecked? LOL. I got wrecked recently on my Mythic+. Failed not on time on FH +10, AD +10, SOTS +10, TD +10 and even on AD+9 awhile ago. But I had FUN. It’s unfortunate though that I was not able to carry my group to beat the timer. But at least, I was able to carry my own… usually zero deaths or the least death… You know each death has timer penalties. And I top the damage meters.
On timewalking, this is where I practice maximum Corruption. Expect a carry on me.
I do timewalking becoz I love to get their mounts. I just got the Wolf Mount from WoD timewalking. I am saving more on the Elephant mount of WoD timewalking. I should be good when WoD comes back.
Timewalking dungeons are promoted for everyone from the level of that zone and up. They are not supposed to be elite content. They give 410 gear to 120’s, who are presumably newly leveled and would find that gear an upgrade. They should be doable by any group of randoms with half a clue, not only people who have been elite since they were current content.
POS sucks right now. That ramp is horrendous no matter who’s in the group.
The new “root and stun the tank” mechanic sucks, why did they feel the need to add it to every dungeon?
The handful “people” who were supposedly clamoring for really, really hard content weren’t intending to do it themselves for a piece of normal dungeon gear. They were intending to force it on casuals to make them pay for being casuals.
I think you did one dungeon - one of the easier ones. Some of them seem almost the same. Go do POS.
And stop complaining about content that’s beneath you. Nobody is forcing you to “farm them”.
They’re easy enough one pack at a time, however I’m a little disappointed by the player attitude when I was doing them today.
I’d mentioned that I hadn’t done that particular dungeon before and the first time I died in that icecave i had one player go off at me. Easily kicked him and we finished it, but it felt rather unnecessary.
I’ve tanked in Timewalking dungeons last year and at the moment it does feel like they have been tuned harder than before. With that said they’re still very beatable.
Another thing that helps in timewalking…the ilvl of your gear doesnt matter as long as its above that expansions ilvl, just hold on to a couple pieces that have your ideal stats regardless of ilvl and throw em on when ya go in.
Bring in those legion legendaries, If you held on to Legion tier gear, that still works in them, use it. Same goes for older legendaries. Also there are some really solid old trinkets that if ya have em would be great in timewalkers.
