New cross faction BGs launched today so now cross faction groups can queue random BGs together
Edit: can ignore most the below, there was confusion how to get cross faction to work. Turns out it’s who makes the group, not who has lead
Just queued random BGs with a group which was a mix of alliance and horde, majority horde, horde leader. We got an alliance queue
Queued again, same situation, got an alliance queue.
We all go to our horde toons, 100% horde group…alliance queue
I assume that it’s putting us on the faction that needs more people for fast queue times?
Is this a joke? Basically all the premades are going to get shoved onto one faction, the faction that needs players, and will never play each other? What is this nonsense
Someone go spam venruki so he can make a video on this, basically the only way this company will ever listen to anything that is said
I want to fight other groups, not 100% solo groups

Are you saying you merced as Horde but got put into an Alliance team?
No cross faction groups can now queue for BGs together, no merc needed, since the new patch. Maybe I should put that in my post
But only groups get this, not solo

It can’t be that, Horde has had faster queues since DF.
I like going against pugs actually so im fine with this.

And the merc guy is up, yet alliance queues were faster. One of our guys dropped group and solo queued horde. We got an insta queue onto alliance, he didn’t
It’s patch day though, it gets messed up
I’m not positive this is how it works, but it’s the only thing I can think that makes sense. That or it’s a bug that’s shoving all groups onto alliance
My understanding was that the leaders faction was the determining factor for which side the group ended up on.
Maybe bug?
Edit: I’ll admit, though, to not looking into it very hard. So maybe it is also some other thingy they are doing?
Yeah, it’s Nassar too. I would have said that means there is an abundance of Alliance and not enough Horde.
That was speculation mostly. It was a fair assumption.
But, there may be some other factor, more testing will be needed.
Well keep me posted. I’ll still be beating up on any who step up, group, solo, idk, going down town.
Narrator’s voice: Lorethon will be spirit rezzing often, in fact.

I think this is how everyone wanted it done
I am actually going to freak out if I have to be a Mechagnome.

Exactly, which is weird why we were being shoved onto alliance if alliance can also merc. And yet alliance queues were popping faster
I don’t like this
I hope there is a better explanation
I don’t believe the group leader has any say… which is the best way for this system to be implemented. It decreases the dominate factions chances of getting the premade.
I entered a BG as Horde… ended up on Ruthlessbro’s group… The following BG… I went against Ruthlessbro’s group (they were Alliance.) There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the way this was implemented.
It may even stabilize queue times… once the new ‘‘content’’ dies down.

I’m sure that was the point, to reduce queue times.
If this is actually how it works this was a terrible decision and 100% there is a problem with how this was implemented. Shoving all the premades onto one faction is a terrible idea, guaranteed pugs are just going to get stomped every game. Will never see premade vs premade
Edit: Ok maybe it still works. Just faced a full 5 against my full 5

It was immediately after servers came up so I wouldn’t read too much into getting alliance queues but ya it was back to back to back alliance games
It sounds like we have no control at all which side we end up on then whatever your group composition is, which is just wild and not at all what was implied with the change. They really going to give us no detail on how it’s going to work and then drop it on us like this?
On the other hand, this could just be buggy mess they need to fix later.
Nah, it sounds like, if you want to play as horde, you can’t play as a group.
Because Alliance groups don’t seem to be doing it.
That’s my issue. You also don’t really have control on your racial when they just updated all the racials and people pay to race change to have specific ones

Is there even a point to merc mode if the queue is deciding what side you are on for you? It seems redundant to the point that it almost has to be bugged.
And it’s predominately making Horde play as Alliance? In the short term, that would encourage even more Horde to swap Alliance.
