So I’m returning to retail after quitting mid-MoP. I’m slowly learning the ropes in everything. So far my favorite experience returning has been Legion. Legendaries and all. (Even though I’m a bit miffed I’m Not getting the full legendary system experience, at least the narrative and experience surrounding them is cool)
I was delighted to find out legendaries will be making a return in shadowlands (which I’m liking just about everything I’m reading on the expansion), but cooler in that you make your own legendaries. Sounds great.
But according to the wowhead article, they keep mentioning it’s like the “mechagon punchcard system” and all explanations confuse me. I don’t plan on playing BfA so I won’t be experiencing mechagon myself.
So it’s a blank trinket with 3 jewel-like slots. But the jewels have abilities, and they come from drops.
Wow, the more I learn about bfa, the more I’m pleased to be skipping it on the way to SL.
I played very little of mop. But the descriptions you guys are providing is helping. Let’s hope the domination forge system is more exciting and has lots of options. The thought of (hopefully) crafting a legendary 2h mace for this ret paladin is honestly sounding pretty exciting. Like bothering to max out my blacksmithing profession in every expansion will lead up to that moment!
To be honest, few people still use that trinket. There are other options available that are far easier to obtain and at least as powerful. It was kind of only a thing in 8.2.
Interesting. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for info. Wowhead was pretty bloated for info.
Wow in general is pretty bloated. I had to roll a new dwarf paladin from lvl 1 just to level him and familiarize myself with how the class plays before I touched my long-since-vanilla main and know what to do with him.
All in all shadowlands is indeed looking pretty sweet.
No problem, dood. I know what it’s like having to re-learn a class/spec. I played Vengeance almost exclusively for the first half of this expansion and hadn’t touched Havoc the entire time since Legion – had to relearn it, and rolled a new DH to kinda get a feel for it again.
I’ve got my apprehensions about SL, but I’m cautiously optimistic, which is more than I could say for BfA’s launch, having been in its beta and observed Azerite traits in advance.
