So currently I’m currently doing a deep frost build with a little arcane to help with mana management. I’m focusing on heavy single target with also aoe focus. My tree has frost at 41 and arcane 10 so heavy focus on frost. I have improved blizzard, shatter, winters chill, and improved come of cold maxed out so I have great single and aoe potential. Is this a smart bet or I should try for more arcane to get arcane power which would drastically cut down on my frost build.
I have been following Classic WoWHead’s mage leveling guide to the letter and it’s been great so far. I should stress that I’m only level 19, though, so only just getting started on the tree. Your description of what youre currently going for sounds like a good bet to me, though.
I remember back in 2005/6 when I first reached the Western Plaguelands as a young feral druid I saw a frost mage pull a giant pack of Scourge and Blizzard them all down. It was incredible enough to me that I can still picture it 14 years later. Whoever that mage was, theyre why I rolled one in Classic!
