As the title says, what specs will be using 4 pc tier set today, and which ones won’t? I’m most curious about the following:
Arms war
Aff lock
Disc priest
Frost mage
Sub rogue
MM hunter
Resto Druid

I’ll be trying enh Stormbringer today. I feel like it’s absolutely necessary for that build. Could be wrong tho.
Most definitely, rdruid 4set is insane - you’re basically proccing random hots on everyone all game long with how often insurance procs for rdruid, and sotf is bugged with it rn where if you hold onto your sotf proc, the 4 set procced hots gain the sotf bonus but it doesn’t consume sotf (same with ancient of lore too fwiw)
Rdruid is already good without 4 set, with it they’re gonna be raid bosses until it’s nerfed (at bare minimum, sotf should be consumed by the procced hots - that’s just a bugged interaction)
Awesome, exactly the kind of input I was looking for. Glad to hear that about rdruid. Any idea with some of the other specs?
WW’s 4 set will be pretty strong
You will probably only see marks hunters in 4pc if they multi spec. Tier is really bad for marks, but good for sv and really good for bm.
Out of the specs you listed I think only frost mage, sub rogue and MM wont use 4pc, Not completely sure on sub.
Arms/Protection is 4pc omit legs or helmet
Fury is 2pc (chest and gloves)
4pc
4pc
4pc
0pc
4pc
0pc or 4pc depending on comp
4pc
Aff lock is without a doubt, it makes the spec feel much better than without it.
Did someone say 4pc spicy chicken nuggies?
Brother, you don’t need a thread for this, this is what Murlok io is for.
It’s not really clear yet what class should go 4pc using murlok or drustvar yet. A lot of the data are from toons who have not even got their 4 set yet and I feel like it takes a while to update sometimes, since the “most used” weapons are still prized aspirants when pretty much everyone has their weapon by now.
Like I’m not really sure if hpals are going with 4 set? I see some do and some don’t. And there’s also the other set separate from the undermine one, so it’s kind of confusing.
all top frost mages are using 2pc. Arms 4 pc has roughly 10% uptime unless ur playing vs melee cleaves its like 15%. pretty negligible. i myself am going to drop down to 2pc once i get enough conq pts to switch back…
after playing 4pc ARMS for 2 weeks and it hurting performance overall by losing ~7% vers, being forced into defensive stance much more often, for a buff thats almost never active while being kited and cced (meant to have uptime doing a pve rotation).
you don’t get enough globals to use overpower enough to actually keep the 15% proc 12s duration rng buff active.
most of your globals are spent on hamstring mortal strike execute and CS when you have 3-5 seconds of uptime.
Aff Lock 4pc has been an absolute godsend, especially since it seems like not a lot of healers have encountered it.
Healer: I’ll just keep dispelling UA cause it doesn’t cause lethal damage and my dps is interupting his casts…
Aff Lock opponent: Jackpot proc go BBBBBRRRRRRRRR
Sucks though. WHy not just buff UA dmg and turn tier gear off in pvp so we can just rock conq or crafted gear
Probably bc they play more than one spec
There is no reason to play 2pc on frost is does like 0.5% of your dmg a game
Because they balance classes around the tier sets, mostly for pve reasons. Instead of having legendaries, they basically made the set bonuses legendary-esque bonuses, because they’re fun/interesting, but it creates a slew of balance issues every patch. Whereas in years past, the set bonuses were simple stuff like 5% to shadowbolt damage or something like that which is relatively easy to balance around
